Thank you for choosing the IMEX JY-500A Portable Camping Gas Stove Kit. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new gas stove. Please read these instructions carefully before use and retain them for future reference.
The IMEX JY-500A is a portable gas stove designed for outdoor use, compliant with new EU safety regulations. It features piezoelectric ignition, a safety lock mechanism, and comes with a convenient carrying case. This kit includes four 227g gas cartridges, manufactured to the highest European APRAGAZ standard.

2. Safety Information
WARNING: Failure to follow these instructions may result in fire, explosion, serious injury, or death.
- Outdoor Use Only: This appliance is designed for outdoor use only. Do not operate indoors, in tents, vehicles, or any enclosed spaces. Inadequate ventilation can lead to carbon monoxide poisoning.
- Ventilation: Always use the stove in a well-ventilated area.
- Gas Cartridges: Use only 227g butane gas cartridges (MSF-1a type) that comply with EN417. Do not use other types of gas or cartridges.
- Leak Check: Before each use, check for gas leaks. Apply soapy water to connections; bubbles indicate a leak. Do not use if a leak is detected.
- Ignition: Always ignite the stove with an open flame or the piezoelectric igniter. Do not attempt to light with a match or lighter after gas has been flowing for an extended period.
- Clearance: Maintain a safe distance from flammable materials (minimum 1 meter from top and sides).
- Stable Surface: Place the stove on a stable, level, non-combustible surface.
- Supervision: Never leave an operating stove unattended.
- Hot Surfaces: The stove and cooking utensils become very hot during use. Allow to cool completely before handling or storing.
- Storage: Store gas cartridges in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure the cartridge is disconnected from the stove before storage.
- Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the stove during operation and storage.
- Modifications: Do not modify the appliance. Any modification can be dangerous and will void the warranty.

4. Product Components
Familiarize yourself with the main parts of the IMEX JY-500A gas stove:
- Burner Head: The central component where the gas ignites and the flame is produced.
- Pan Support: Grate above the burner to hold cooking utensils.
- Gas Cartridge Compartment: Located on the side, for inserting the butane gas cartridge.
- Cartridge Lock Lever: Secures the gas cartridge in place and connects it to the stove's gas supply.
- Ignition Button (Piezoelectric): Used to spark and ignite the gas.
- Control Knob: Adjusts the gas flow and flame intensity (OFF, ON, and flame adjustment).
- Windshield (Integrated): Helps protect the flame from wind.

5. Setup
- Preparation: Place the stove on a firm, level, non-combustible surface in a well-ventilated outdoor area. Ensure the control knob is in the "OFF" position.
- Open Cartridge Compartment: Open the lid of the gas cartridge compartment located on the side of the stove.
- Insert Gas Cartridge: Align the collar of a 227g butane gas cartridge with the guide in the compartment. Ensure the notch on the cartridge collar aligns with the tab on the stove's gas inlet. Push the cartridge firmly into place.
- Lock Cartridge: Push the cartridge lock lever from "UNLOCK" to "LOCK" position. This connects the cartridge to the stove's gas supply. You may hear a slight hiss as the connection is made; this is normal. If the hiss continues, check the cartridge alignment and ensure the lever is fully in the "LOCK" position.
- Close Compartment: Close the lid of the gas cartridge compartment.

6. Operating Instructions
- Ignition:
- Ensure the gas cartridge is correctly installed and locked.
- Turn the control knob counter-clockwise to the "ON" position. You should hear a faint hiss of gas.
- Press the piezoelectric ignition button repeatedly until the gas ignites.
- If the gas does not ignite after a few attempts, turn the control knob to "OFF", wait a few seconds, and try again.
- Adjusting Flame: Once ignited, rotate the control knob to adjust the flame intensity. Turn clockwise for a smaller flame and counter-clockwise for a larger flame.
- Cooking: Place your cooking pot or pan securely on the pan support.
- Turning Off: After cooking, turn the control knob clockwise to the "OFF" position until the flame extinguishes completely.
- Removing Gas Cartridge:
- Ensure the stove is completely cool and the control knob is in the "OFF" position.
- Push the cartridge lock lever from "LOCK" to "UNLOCK" position.
- Open the cartridge compartment lid and carefully remove the gas cartridge.
- Replace the cap on the gas cartridge if it is not empty, and store it in a cool, dry place.

7. Maintenance
- Cleaning:
- Ensure the stove is completely cool and the gas cartridge is removed before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Clean the pan support and burner head if they become soiled. Ensure the burner ports are clear of debris.
- Dry all parts thoroughly before storage.
- Storage:
- Always remove the gas cartridge before storing the stove.
- Store the stove in its original carrying case to protect it from dust and damage.
- Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and open flames.
