2. Important Safety Instructions

5. Setup
Follow these steps for the initial setup of your air cooler.
5.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove the air cooler and all accessories from the packaging.
- Remove any protective films or packaging materials from the unit.
- Inspect the unit for any signs of damage. If damaged, do not operate and contact customer support.
5.2 Placement
- Place the air cooler on a firm, level, and stable horizontal surface.
- Ensure there is at least 20 cm of clear space around the unit for proper air circulation.
- Position the unit near a power outlet, avoiding the use of extension cords if possible.
5.3 Filling the Water Tank
- Pull out the water tank from the rear of the unit (refer to Figure 4.4).
- Fill the tank with clean, distilled, or demineralized water. Do not exceed the 'MAX' fill line indicated on the tank. The tank has a capacity of 4 liters.
- Carefully push the water tank back into the unit until it clicks into place.
5.4 Inserting Ice Packs
- For enhanced cooling, place the provided ice packs in a freezer until completely frozen.
- Open the top lid of the air cooler.
- Place the frozen ice packs into the designated compartment (refer to Figure 4.5).
- Close the top lid securely.
6. Operating Instructions
Your ARDES EOLO TOUCH air cooler can be operated using the touch control panel on the unit or the remote control.
6.1 Power On/Off
- Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
- Press the ON/OFF button on the control panel or remote control to turn the unit on or off.
6.2 Adjusting Fan Speed
- Press the SPEED button repeatedly to cycle through the three available fan speeds: Low, Mid, and High.
6.3 Selecting Mode
- Press the MODE button to select different airflow modes (e.g., Normal, Natural, Sleep). Refer to the display for the active mode.
6.4 Timer Function
- Press the TIMER button to set the operating time. The timer can be set up to 7.5 hours. Each press typically adds an increment (e.g., 0.5h, 1h, 2h, 4h).
6.5 Cooling Function
- Press the COOL button to activate the evaporative cooling function. This will engage the water pump to circulate water over the cooling pad.
- Ensure the water tank is filled before activating the cooling function. The unit will display a warning if the tank is empty.
6.6 Oscillation Function
- Press the SWING button to activate the automatic horizontal oscillation of the internal louvers, distributing cool air more widely. Press again to stop oscillation.
6.7 Remote Control Usage
- The remote control allows you to operate all functions from a distance. Ensure the remote is pointed towards the receiver on the unit.
- Insert batteries (not included, typically AAA) into the remote control before first use.
7. Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure efficient operation and prolong the life of your air cooler.
7.1 Cleaning the Air Filter
- Unplug the appliance from the power outlet.
- Remove the air filter from the rear of the unit (refer to Figure 4.2).
- Gently clean the filter with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to remove dust. For deeper cleaning, rinse with lukewarm water and mild detergent.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit.
7.2 Cleaning the Water Tank
- Unplug the appliance.
- Pull out the water tank and empty any remaining water.
- Clean the tank with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly to remove any soap residue.
- To prevent mineral buildup, periodically clean the tank with a solution of water and white vinegar (1:1 ratio), let it sit for 30 minutes, then rinse well.
- Ensure the tank is completely dry before reinserting or storing the unit.
7.3 External Cleaning
- Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
7.4 Storage
- If storing the unit for an extended period, ensure the water tank is empty and clean, and the filter is dry.
