Introduction
Thank you for choosing the Sunnyglade 10x10ft Cantilever Patio Umbrella. This manual provides essential information for the safe assembly, operation, and maintenance of your new umbrella. Please read these instructions carefully before use and retain them for future reference.

- Always ensure the umbrella base is adequately weighted. This umbrella cannot stand alone and requires a heavy base (not included) to prevent tipping, especially in windy conditions.
- Close the umbrella canopy when not in use or during windy weather to prevent damage to the umbrella and surrounding property.
- Keep children and pets away from the umbrella during operation to avoid accidents.
- Do not attempt to use the umbrella in extreme weather conditions such as heavy rain, strong winds, or snow.
- Regularly inspect all parts for wear and tear. Replace damaged components immediately.

Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble your Sunnyglade Cantilever Patio Umbrella. It is recommended to have two people for certain steps due to the size and weight of the umbrella.
- Attach the Cross Base: Place the foldable cross base on a flat, stable surface. Ensure it is positioned where you intend to use the umbrella.
- Secure the Main Pole: Insert the main pole into the center of the cross base. Secure it using the provided bolts and tools.
- Attach the Canopy Arm: Connect the canopy arm to the main pole. Ensure all connections are tight and secure.
- Open the Canopy: Use the crank system to gently open the umbrella canopy.
- Add Base Weights: Fill your separate umbrella base weights (e.g., with sand or water) and place them securely onto the cross base. This is crucial for stability.

Troubleshooting
Here are solutions to common issues you might encounter:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Umbrella is unstable or tips over easily. | Insufficient base weight. | Ensure the cross base is properly weighted with sand or water-filled base weights (not included). This is critical for stability. |
| Crank mechanism is stiff or difficult to operate. | Dirt or debris in the mechanism; lack of lubrication. | Clean the crank mechanism and apply a silicone-based lubricant if necessary. |
| Canopy does not open or close smoothly. | Obstruction or misaligned ribs. | Check for any obstructions or bent ribs. Gently guide the canopy during operation. |
| Umbrella sways excessively in light wind. | Base not heavy enough or umbrella not fully secured. | Add more weight to the base. Ensure all locking mechanisms (e.g., rotation pedal) are engaged. Close the umbrella in windy conditions. |
