Setup
Follow these steps to set up your LED strip light:
- Prepare the Surface: Ensure the installation surface is clean, dry, and smooth. Dust, oil, or moisture can affect the adhesive's effectiveness.
- Measure and Cut (Optional): If a shorter length is desired, measure the required length and cut the LED strip only along the designated cut marks (indicated by a copper pad and scissor icon). Each cut unit consists of 3 LEDs. Caution: Cutting outside these marks will render that section of the strip unusable.
- Peel and Stick: Carefully peel off the backing from the double-sided adhesive tape on the back of the LED strip. Press the strip firmly onto the desired surface. The flexible design allows for easy bending around corners.
- Connect the Dimmer: Connect the inline dimmer switch to the LED strip. Ensure the connectors are aligned correctly and securely fastened.
- Connect the Power Adapter: Connect the power adapter to the dimmer switch.
- Plug In: Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet (100V-240V).

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your LED strip light, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the LED strip with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the power is off before cleaning.
- Adhesive Check: Periodically check the adhesive to ensure the strip remains securely attached. If necessary, re-secure with additional adhesive clips (not included) or suitable double-sided tape.
- Connection Check: Ensure all connections (strip to dimmer, dimmer to adapter) are secure and free from damage.
- Storage: If storing the LED strip, ensure it is rolled loosely and kept in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your LED strip light, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| LED strip does not light up. | No power, loose connection, incorrect cutting. | Check if the power adapter is plugged in and the outlet is working. Ensure all connections are secure. Verify that the strip was cut only at designated marks. |
| Part of the LED strip is not lighting up. | Incorrect cutting, damaged section. | This usually indicates a cut was made outside the designated cut marks. The damaged section cannot be repaired. |
| Light flickers or is unstable. | Loose connection, faulty power adapter. | Check all connections for tightness. Try plugging the adapter into a different outlet. If the issue persists, the power adapter may be faulty. |
| Adhesive is not holding. | Surface not clean/dry, improper application. | Ensure the surface is thoroughly cleaned and dried before application. Press firmly along the entire strip during installation. For added security, use additional mounting clips. |
