Setup

Powering Your Boombox:

The Studebaker SB2145R can be powered using either AC (alternating current) household power or DC (direct current) battery power.

AC Power Operation:

1. Ensure the boombox is turned off.
2. Insert one end of the supplied AC power cord into the AC IN jack located on the back of the unit.
3. Plug the other end of the AC power cord into a standard AC wall outlet (120V~60Hz).
4. The unit is now ready for use with AC power.

DC (Battery) Power Operation:

For portable use, the boombox can operate on DC power. Refer to the battery compartment located on the unit (usually at the back or bottom) for specific battery type and installation instructions. Ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarity (+/-).

Operating Your Boombox

General Operation:

1. Power On/Off: Rotate the Power/Volume knob clockwise to turn the unit on. Rotate counter-clockwise until it clicks to turn off.
2. Volume Adjustment: Rotate the Power/Volume knob to increase or decrease the volume.
3. Mode Selection: Press the "Mode" or "Function" button repeatedly to cycle through available modes: Bluetooth, CD, FM Radio.

Bluetooth Operation:

1. Turn on the boombox and select the Bluetooth mode. The unit will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing Bluetooth indicator light or a voice prompt.
2. Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.).
3. Search for "SB2145R" or "Studebaker Boombox" in your device's Bluetooth settings and select it to pair.
4. Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator will become solid, and you can now stream audio from your device to the boombox.
5. Use the Play/Pause, Skip/Search buttons on the boombox or your connected device to control playback.

CD Player Operation:

1. Turn on the boombox and select the CD mode.
2. Press the "Open/Close" button or gently pull the CD door to open the CD compartment.
3. Carefully place an audio CD (CD, CD-R/RW) onto the spindle with the label side facing up.
4. Close the CD compartment. The unit will read the disc, and the track number will appear on the display.
5. Press the "Play/Pause" button to start playback.
6. Use the "Skip/Search" buttons to navigate between tracks. Press and hold to fast forward or rewind within a track.
7. Press the "Stop" button to stop playback.

FM Radio Operation:

1. Turn on the boombox and select the FM Radio mode.
2. Extend the telescopic FM antenna fully for optimal reception. Adjust its position if reception is poor.
3. Rotate the "Tuning" knob to manually tune to your desired FM radio station. The frequency will be displayed.

Audio Control (Treble, Bass, Balance, LED EQ):

• Treble Control: Rotate the "Treble" knob to adjust the high-frequency sound output to your preference.
• Bass Control: Rotate the "Bass" knob to adjust the low-frequency sound output to your preference.
• Balance Control: Rotate the "Balance" knob to adjust the audio distribution between the left and right speakers.
• LED EQ Display: The front LED equalizer display will visually react to the audio output, providing a dynamic light show. This feature is typically automatic and does not require manual adjustment.

Maintenance and Care

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
• CD Player Care: Keep the CD compartment clean. Avoid touching the lens inside the CD player. If a disc is dirty, wipe it with a soft, lint-free cloth from the center outwards.
