- Unplug charger from outlet before attempting any maintenance or cleaning.
- This charger is intended for charging Ryobi 36V Lithium+ batteries only. Do not attempt to charge any other type of battery.
2. Product Overview
The Ryobi 36V Charger is designed to efficiently charge all Ryobi 36V Lithium+ batteries. It features an LED indicator system to provide clear information on battery condition and charging status.

3. Setup
Before first use, ensure the charger is placed on a stable, flat surface in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Unpack the Charger: Carefully remove the charger from its packaging. Inspect for any damage.
- Connect to Power: Plug the charger's power cord into a standard household electrical outlet (120V AC, 60Hz). The charger's LED indicator may briefly illuminate to confirm power connection.

4. Operating Instructions
Charging a Battery:
- Ensure the charger is plugged into a working power outlet.
- Align the battery with the charger's port and slide it firmly into place until it clicks.
- Observe the LED indicators on the charger.

LED Indicator Guide:
The charger features a series of LED lights that indicate the battery's status.

| Indicator Light | Status | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Solid Green | Fully Charged | Battery is fully charged and ready for use. |
| Flashing Green | Charging | Battery is currently charging. |
| Solid Red | Battery Error / Too Hot/Cold | Battery is too hot or too cold to charge, or there is a battery fault. Allow battery to cool down or warm up. If issue persists, battery may be defective. |
| Flashing Red | Charger Error | Indicates a fault with the charger. Disconnect from power and contact customer support. |
Once the battery is fully charged (solid green light), disconnect it from the charger by pressing the release tab (if present) and sliding the battery out.
5. Maintenance
Cleaning:
Always unplug the charger from the power outlet before cleaning. Use a clean, damp cloth to wipe down the exterior of the charger. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Keep the ventilation openings free of dust and debris.
Storage:
Store the charger in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Do not store the charger with a battery inserted for extended periods. Keep out of reach of children.
6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |

| Charger not working / No LED indication | No power to charger. | Check if the charger is securely plugged into a working outlet. Test the outlet with another device. |
| Battery not charging (Solid Red LED) | Battery too hot or too cold. | Remove battery from charger and allow it to reach room temperature (18°C - 24°C or 65°F - 75°F) before attempting to charge again. |
| Battery not charging (Solid Red LED) | Defective battery. | Try charging another Ryobi 36V battery. If other batteries charge, the original battery may be defective and require replacement. |
| Flashing Red LED | Charger fault. | Unplug the charger from the power outlet for a few minutes, then plug it back in. If the error persists, the charger may be defective. Contact customer support. |
