Setup and Installation
Before you begin, ensure your door is prepared for a standard deadbolt installation. You may need a Phillips head screwdriver and a measuring tape.
1. Install the Latch Mechanism
- Insert the deadbolt latch into the edge bore hole of the door. Ensure the "UP" arrow on the latch is pointing upwards.
- Secure the latch with the provided screws.
2. Install the Exterior Assembly
- Feed the cable and spindle through the center hole of the latch mechanism.
- Align the exterior keypad assembly with the door and press it firmly against the door surface.
3. Install the Mounting Plate
- Route the cable from the exterior assembly through the rectangular hole in the mounting plate.
- Secure the mounting plate to the exterior assembly using the long screws provided, ensuring the spindle passes through the center hole of the mounting plate.
4. Install the Interior Assembly
- Connect the cable from the exterior assembly to the port on the interior assembly.
- Align the interior assembly with the mounting plate, ensuring the spindle engages with the thumb turn mechanism.
- Secure the interior assembly to the mounting plate using the short screws provided.
5. Install Batteries
- Remove the battery cover on the interior assembly.
- Insert 4 new AA alkaline batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the battery cover.
6. Install Strike Plate
- Align the strike plate with the deadbolt hole on the door frame.
- Secure the strike plate with the provided screws. Ensure the deadbolt extends smoothly into the strike plate when locked.

Operating Instructions
Locking the Door
- From the outside: Press the "LOCK" button (if available, or a specific button for locking) or press any key for 2 seconds. The deadbolt will extend.
- From the inside: Rotate the thumb turn on the interior assembly to the horizontal position.
Unlocking the Door
- From the outside (Keypad): Enter your valid User Code (or Master Code) followed by the "LOCK" button (or specific enter button). The deadbolt will retract.
- From the outside (Key): Insert the physical key into the keyhole and turn it to unlock.
- From the inside: Rotate the thumb turn on the interior assembly to the vertical position.

Programming Codes
Your deadbolt supports one Master Code and up to 10 User Codes. The Master Code is used for programming and should be kept confidential. User Codes are for daily entry.
Setting the Master Code (First Time Setup)
The lock comes with a default programming code. You must change this to your unique Master Code immediately after installation.
- Open the battery cover on the interior assembly.
- Press the "Program" button (usually a small button on the interior assembly). The keypad will illuminate.
- Enter the default Master Code (refer to a sticker on the interior assembly or quick start guide, typically 123456).
- Press the "LOCK" button.
- Enter your new Master Code (4-10 digits).
- Press the "LOCK" button again to confirm. A successful tone will sound.
Adding User Codes
- Press the "Program" button.
- Enter your Master Code.
- Press the "LOCK" button.
- Enter a new User Code (4-10 digits).
- Press the "LOCK" button again to confirm. A successful tone will sound.
- Repeat for additional user codes (up to 10).
Deleting User Codes
- Press the "Program" button.
- Enter your Master Code.
- Press the "LOCK" button.
- Enter the User Code you wish to delete.
- Press the "LOCK" button again. A successful tone will sound, and the code will be deleted.
Note: Individual user codes cannot be deleted. To remove a user code, you typically need to reset all user codes or overwrite them. Consult the specific instructions that came with your lock for advanced programming options.
Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: When the batteries are low, the lock may emit a series of beeps or the keypad may not illuminate as brightly. Replace all 4 AA batteries promptly. Always use new, high-quality alkaline batteries.
- Cleaning: Clean the lock's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these can damage the finish and electronic components.
- Door Alignment: Periodically check that your door and frame are properly aligned. Misalignment can cause the deadbolt to bind, leading to excessive battery drain or malfunction.
