Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Door: Ensure your door has the correct bore holes (typically 2-1/8 inches for the lock body and 1 inch for the latch) and backset (2-3/8 inches or 2-3/4 inches). Use the provided template if drilling new holes.
- Install the Latch: Insert the latch into the edge bore hole of the door. Ensure the bevel of the latch bolt faces the door frame. Secure with two small screws. Adjust the backset if necessary by twisting the latch mechanism.
- Install the Exterior Knob/Deadbolt: Place the exterior portion of the knob/deadbolt through the large bore hole, ensuring the spindle or tailpiece aligns with the latch mechanism.
- Install the Interior Knob/Deadbolt: Position the interior portion of the knob/deadbolt, aligning it with the exterior portion and the latch. Secure with the long mounting screws provided, tightening evenly.
- Install the Strike Plate: Mark the position of the latch bolt on the door frame. Chisel out a shallow recess for the strike plate and secure it with screws. Ensure the latch bolt engages smoothly.

Maintenance

- Lubrication: Periodically apply a small amount of graphite lubricant or a silicone-based spray to the keyway and latch mechanism to ensure smooth operation. Do not use oil-based lubricants as they can attract dirt.
- Screw Tightness: Check and tighten all mounting screws periodically to ensure the lockset remains securely attached to the door.
