Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off

To turn the tool on, depress the variable speed trigger. To turn the tool off, release the trigger. The tool's speed is controlled by the amount of pressure applied to the trigger.

Forward/Reverse Rotation

The direction of rotation is controlled by the forward/reverse selector switch, typically located above the trigger. Push the switch to the left for forward rotation (tightening) and to the right for reverse rotation (loosening). Ensure the switch is in the center position to lock the trigger and prevent accidental starting.

Using the Impact Wrench

  1. Select the appropriate bit for your fastener.
  2. Ensure the battery is fully charged and properly installed.
  3. Set the rotation direction (forward for tightening, reverse for loosening).
  4. Position the bit on the fastener.
  5. Depress the variable speed trigger to start the tool. Apply steady pressure to the tool to engage the fastener. The impact mechanism will activate automatically when resistance is met.
  6. Release the trigger once the fastener is secured or loosened.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your tool.

  • Cleaning: Keep the tool's ventilation openings clear and free of debris. Use a clean, dry cloth to wipe down the exterior. Do not use solvents or harsh chemicals.
  • Storage: Store the tool in a dry, secure location out of reach of children. Remove the battery pack before storage.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the tool for any signs of damage, loose screws, or worn parts. Do not use a damaged tool.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your impact wrench, refer to the following common solutions:

  • Tool does not start: Ensure the battery pack is fully charged and properly installed. Check that the forward/reverse selector switch is not in the center (locked) position.
  • Reduced power or performance: The battery pack may be low on charge. Recharge the battery. Ensure the bit is clean and not worn.
  • Bit not holding: Ensure the 1/4" hex quick connect coupler is fully released after inserting the bit. The bit should be a standard hex shank type.
