Setup
1. Unpacking and Battery Installation
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. It is recommended to install batteries in the outdoor sensor first, then the display unit.
- Outdoor Sensor: Open the battery compartment on the back of the wireless outdoor sensor. Insert 2 "AA" alkaline or lithium batteries (not included) according to the polarity markings (+/-). Close the battery compartment securely.
- Display Unit: Open the battery compartment on the back of the digital display unit. Insert 3 "AAA" alkaline batteries (not included) according to the polarity markings (+/-). Close the battery compartment securely.
Note: Lithium batteries are recommended for outdoor sensors in regions with temperatures below -20°C (-4°F) due to their superior performance in cold conditions.
2. Sensor Placement
Proper placement of the outdoor sensor is crucial for accurate readings.
- Location: Choose a location that is out of direct sunlight and direct precipitation. A north-facing wall or under an eave is often ideal.
- Height: Mount the sensor approximately 1.2 to 2.4 meters (4 to 8 feet) off the ground.
- Obstructions: Ensure the sensor is away from heat sources (e.g., air conditioning units, exhaust vents) and large metal objects that could interfere with wireless transmission.
- Mounting: Use the integrated hanger to mount the sensor securely.

3. Display Unit Placement
The display unit can be placed on a tabletop or mounted on a wall.
- Tabletop: Use the integrated stand to place the unit on a flat surface.
- Wall-Mount: Use the keyhole slot on the back of the unit to hang it on a screw (not included) securely fastened to a wall.
- Wireless Range: Place the display unit within 330 feet (100 meters) of the outdoor sensor. Walls and other obstructions may reduce the effective range.
