3. Product Overview
Familiarize yourself with the buttons and ports on your LAMAX Storm1 speaker.

- Power Button: Press and hold to turn the speaker on or off.
- Mode Button (M): Short press to switch between Bluetooth, MicroSD, and AUX input modes.
- Volume Down / Previous Track Button (-): Short press for previous track, long press to decrease volume.
- Play/Pause Button (►/−): Short press to play or pause music. During a call, press to answer/end. Long press to reject a call.
- Volume Up / Next Track Button (+): Short press for next track, long press to increase volume.
- 3D Sound Button: Press to activate or deactivate 3D sound mode.
- TWS Button: Press to initiate True Wireless Stereo pairing with another Storm1 speaker.

4. Setup
4.1 Charging the Speaker
Before first use, fully charge the speaker. Connect the supplied USB-C cable to the charging port on the speaker and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator light will show charging status.
4.2 Power On/Off
Press and hold the Power Button (▮) for approximately 3 seconds to turn the speaker on or off. A sound prompt will indicate the power status.
4.3 Bluetooth Pairing
- Turn on the LAMAX Storm1 speaker. It will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a flashing LED.
- Enable Bluetooth on your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.).
- Search for "LAMAX Storm1" in the list of available Bluetooth devices and select it.
- Once connected, the LED indicator will stop flashing and remain solid blue, and you will hear a confirmation sound.
4.4 NFC Pairing (Near Field Communication)
If your device supports NFC, you can pair it by simply tapping your device against the NFC area on the speaker (usually indicated by an NFC logo). Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
4.5 MicroSD Card Playback
Insert a MicroSD card (up to 32GB, formatted to FAT32) containing MP3/WAV/FLAC audio files into the MicroSD card slot. The speaker will automatically switch to MicroSD mode and begin playback. If not, press the Mode Button (M) to select MicroSD mode.
4.6 AUX Input
Connect one end of the 3.5mm audio cable to the AUX input port on the speaker and the other end to the audio output of your device. The speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode. If not, press the Mode Button (M) to select AUX mode.
4.7 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Pairing
To connect two LAMAX Storm1 speakers for stereo sound:
- Ensure both Storm1 speakers are powered on and not connected to any Bluetooth device.
- On one speaker (this will be the primary speaker), short press the TWS Button. The speaker will emit a sound and its LED will flash.
- The primary speaker will automatically search for and connect to the second Storm1 speaker.
- Once connected, both speakers will emit a confirmation sound, and their LEDs will indicate a successful TWS connection.
- Now, connect your device to the primary speaker via Bluetooth as described in section 4.3. Audio will play through both speakers in stereo.
5. Operating the Speaker
5.1 Basic Controls
- Play/Pause: Short press the Play/Pause Button (►/−).
- Volume Up/Down: Long press the Volume Up (+) or Volume Down (-) buttons.
- Next/Previous Track: Short press the Volume Up (+) for next track or Volume Down (-) for previous track.
- Change Mode: Short press the Mode Button (M) to cycle through Bluetooth, MicroSD, and AUX modes.
5.2 Music Modes
The LAMAX Storm1 offers three distinct audio modes to enhance your listening experience:
- Balanced Mode: Default mode, offering a neutral sound profile suitable for most music genres.
- Super Bass Mode: Enhances low frequencies for a more pronounced bass response, ideal for parties or outdoor use.
- Hall Mode: Creates a wider soundstage, simulating a larger acoustic environment.
Press the 3D Sound Button to toggle between these modes. The LED indicator will change to reflect the active mode.
5.3 Hands-Free Calling
The speaker features a built-in microphone for hands-free calls when connected via Bluetooth.
- Answer/End Call: Short press the Play/Pause Button (►/−).
- Reject Call: Long press the Play/Pause Button (►/−).
