- Ensure the kettle is unplugged and cool.

- Rinse the filter under running water. For stubborn deposits, use a soft brush.
- Ensure the filter is clean and free of debris before reinserting it.
- Push the filter back into its slot until it clicks into place.
6.3 Descaling
Limescale can build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. Regular descaling is recommended to maintain performance and prolong the life of your kettle.
- Use a commercial descaling solution suitable for kettles, following the manufacturer's instructions.
- Alternatively, you can use a solution of white vinegar and water (e.g., 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water). Fill the kettle with the solution and let it stand for an hour, or boil it if the limescale is severe.
- After descaling, empty the kettle and rinse it thoroughly several times with fresh water to remove any residue.
- Boil fresh water in the kettle and discard it two to three times before using it for beverages.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Kettle does not heat up. | Not plugged in; power outage; kettle not properly seated on base; 'Boil Dry Protection' activated. | Check power connection; ensure kettle is correctly placed on base; allow kettle to cool if 'Boil Dry Protection' has activated. |
| Water tastes metallic or has an odor. | New appliance residue; limescale buildup. | Perform initial cleaning steps (boil and discard water several times); descale the kettle. |
| Kettle switches off before boiling or reaching set temperature. | Limescale buildup affecting sensor; insufficient water. | Descale the kettle; ensure water level is above MIN mark. |
| Lid does not close properly. | Obstruction; lid mechanism issue. | Check for any obstructions; ensure the lid is aligned correctly. |
