Setup Instructions

Follow these steps for easy installation:

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all solar pathway lights, ground stakes, and the user manual from the packaging.
2. Activate the Light: Locate the switch under the light cap. Remove any protective tab and turn the switch to the 'ON' position. This activates the light for automatic operation.
3. Assemble the Light: Attach the light head to the pole, and then attach the ground stake to the bottom of the pole. Ensure all connections are secure.
4. Choose Location: Select a location outdoors that receives direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours daily. This ensures optimal charging and performance. Avoid areas under dense trees or shadows.
5. Install in Ground: Gently insert the assembled solar light into soft earth. If the ground is hard, moisten it first to prevent damage to the stake. Do not force the stake into hard ground.

Operating Instructions

The SOLPEX Solar Pathway Lights are designed for simple, automatic operation:

• Automatic Charging: During the day, the integrated polysilicon solar panel will automatically charge the pre-installed rechargeable battery using sunlight.
• Automatic Illumination: At dusk, the lights will automatically turn on, providing 8-12 hours of illumination after a full charge.
• Automatic Shut-off: At dawn, the lights will automatically turn off to conserve energy and begin recharging.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your solar pathway lights, consider the following maintenance tips:

• Clean Solar Panels: Regularly wipe the solar panels with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, and debris. A clean panel ensures efficient sunlight absorption and charging.
• Battery Replacement: The pre-installed rechargeable batteries (1.2V AA Ni-MH) have a lifespan. If you notice a significant decrease in illumination time, the batteries may need to be replaced. Refer to the product specifications for battery type.
• Weather Protection: While the lights are IP44 waterproof and designed to withstand sunny, rainy, and small snowy days, extreme weather conditions (heavy snow, prolonged freezing temperatures) may affect performance. Consider bringing them indoors during severe weather to extend their lifespan.

Troubleshooting

If your SOLPEX Solar Pathway Lights are not functioning as expected, try the following:

• Light Not Turning On:
  • Ensure the switch is in the 'ON' position.
  • Verify the solar panel is receiving direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours during the day. Relocate if necessary.
  • Check for any obstructions (leaves, dirt) on the solar panel and clean it.
  • Confirm that the battery is correctly installed and not depleted. Replace if old or damaged.
• Dim or Short Illumination:
  • The solar panel may not be receiving enough sunlight. Ensure it's in a prime sunny location.
  • The battery may not be fully charged or may be nearing the end of its lifespan. Allow for a full day's charge or consider replacing the battery.
  • Ambient light sources (streetlights, house lights) nearby can trigger the light sensor to turn off the solar light. Relocate the light away from other bright sources.
• Water Inside Light:
  • Although waterproof, extreme conditions or damage can lead to water ingress. Disassemble the light, dry components thoroughly, and check for cracks or loose seals.
