1. Important Safety Instructions

Please read and understand all safety information before using this heater. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, property damage, or personal injury. Keep this manual for future reference.

  • Indoor Use Only: This heater is designed for indoor use in residential living spaces. Do not use outdoors.
  • Electrical Safety: Always plug the heater directly into a wall outlet. Never use with an extension cord, power strip, or surge protector. Ensure the outlet is rated for the heater's power requirements.
  • Placement: Place the heater on a firm, level surface. Maintain a minimum clearance of 3 feet (0.9 meters) from walls, furniture, curtains, bedding, and other combustible materials. Do not block air intakes or exhaust openings.
  • Supervision: Close supervision is necessary when the heater is used by or near children or individuals with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities.
  • Do Not Cover: Never cover the heater or block its air vents, as this can cause overheating and fire.
  • Wet Locations: Do not use the heater in bathrooms, laundry areas, or similar damp locations. Never place the heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
  • Tip-Over Safety: This heater is equipped with a tip-over safety switch that automatically shuts off the unit if it is accidentally knocked over. If this occurs, place the heater upright on a stable surface, and it will resume operation.
  • Cool-to-Touch: While the exterior is designed to be cool to the touch, the heating elements inside become very hot. Avoid touching the heating elements.
  • Power Cord: Do not run the power cord under carpeting or cover it with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange the cord away from traffic areas where it will not be tripped over.

2. Product Overview

The MEMBER'S MARK 23-inch Infrared Tower Heater provides supplemental heat for indoor living spaces. It features three infrared quartz tubes that generate gentle, even heat without drying out the room's air. The oscillating front panel louvers ensure a wider distribution of warmth. This heater includes 3 adjustable heat settings, an adjustable digital thermostat, and an electronic timer function. A remote control is provided for convenience.

3. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Retain packaging materials for future storage or transport.
  2. Placement: Place the heater on a stable, level, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure it is at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) away from any walls, furniture, or other objects. Do not place it on carpeting or rugs that may obstruct airflow.
  3. Power Connection: Locate the power cord at the back of the unit. Ensure the main power switch (located on the back) is in the 'OFF' position. Plug the power cord directly into a grounded 120V AC wall outlet.
  4. Remote Control Batteries: The remote control requires 2 AAA batteries (not included). Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote and insert the batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).

4. Operating Instructions

The heater can be operated using the control panel on the unit or the included remote control.

  • Main Power Switch: Ensure the main power switch on the back of the unit is in the 'ON' position.
  • Power Button (U): Press to turn the heater ON or OFF. The digital display will illuminate when ON.
  • Temperature Adjustment (^ / v): Use the Up (^) and Down (v) arrows to set your desired temperature. The temperature range is typically between 50°F (10°C) and 90°F (32°C).
  • Heat Settings (Mode/Fan): Press the 'Mode' or 'Fan' button to cycle through the 3 available heat settings (e.g., Low, High, Eco). The display will indicate the current setting.
  • Timer Function (Clock icon): Press the 'Timer' button to activate the auto shut-off timer. Each press increases the timer by one hour, up to a maximum of 12 hours. The heater will automatically turn off after the set time.
  • Oscillation (Oscillation icon): Press the 'Oscillation' button to start or stop the internal louvers from oscillating, distributing heat more widely.

The remote control duplicates the functions of the control panel. Point the remote control directly at the heater's display panel for optimal response.

  • ON/OFF: Turns the heater on or off.
  • TEMP UP/DOWN: Adjusts the desired temperature.
  • HI/LO/ECO: Cycles through heat settings.
  • TIME: Sets the auto shut-off timer.
  • OSC: Activates or deactivates oscillation.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your heater.

  • Cleaning: Before cleaning, always turn off the heater, unplug it from the wall outlet, and allow it to cool completely. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure no water enters the interior of the heater.
  • Air Intake/Filter: Periodically check the air intake vents at the back of the heater for dust and debris. Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to gently clean these areas.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the heater in a cool, dry place. It is recommended to store it in its original packaging to protect it from dust and damage.

6. Troubleshooting

If you experience issues with your heater, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Cycle through heat settings to 'Low' or 'High'.
Remote control not working.
  • Batteries are dead or incorrectly installed.
  • Obstruction between remote and heater.
  • Replace batteries (2 AAA) and ensure correct polarity.
  • Remove any objects blocking the signal path.
