Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging. Retain the packaging materials for future storage or transport.
- Placement: Place the dehumidifier on a firm, level surface in a location where the ambient temperature will not fall below 41°F (5°C) or exceed 95°F (35°C). Ensure there is at least 8 inches (20 cm) of space on all sides of the unit for proper air circulation. Do not block the air inlet or outlet.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet meets the electrical requirements specified on the unit's rating label.
- Initial Use: For optimal performance, allow the unit to stand upright for at least 24 hours before plugging it in if it has been stored or transported on its side.
Operating Instructions
Familiarize yourself with the control panel (refer to image of control panel in Product Overview section).
- Power Button: Press to turn the unit ON or OFF.
- Humidity Setting: Use the Up/Down arrows to set your desired humidity level. The unit will operate until the room humidity reaches the set level.
- Comfort Mode: Activates a preset humidity level for optimal comfort.
- Continuous Mode: The unit will run continuously regardless of the humidity level. This mode is ideal for very damp conditions or when using continuous drainage.
- Turbo Mode: Increases the fan speed to maximum for faster moisture removal.
- Timer Function: Set a timer for the unit to automatically turn ON or OFF after a specified number of hours.
- Water Tank Full Indicator: An indicator light will illuminate when the water tank is full, and the unit will automatically shut off. Empty the tank to resume operation.
- Continuous Drainage: For continuous operation without emptying the tank, attach a standard garden hose (not included) to the drain access port on the back of the unit. Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to a suitable drain.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your dehumidifier.
- Cleaning the Air Filter: The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality. Refer to the image of the easy-to-clean filter in the Product Overview section.
- Remove the filter from the back of the unit.
- Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it.
- Emptying the Water Tank: When the tank is full, carefully slide it out, empty the collected water, and slide it back into place until it clicks.
- Cleaning the Unit Exterior: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, ensure the water tank is empty and clean, and the filter is clean and dry. Coil the power cord neatly and store the unit in a cool, dry place.
