Maintenance

Cleaning Your Earbuds

Regular cleaning helps maintain sound quality and hygiene. Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to wipe the earbuds and charging case. For ear gels, you may gently remove them and clean with a mild soap solution, then rinse and dry thoroughly before reattaching.

Water and Dust Resistance

The Indy Evo earbuds are rated IP55, meaning they are resistant to sweat, light water splashes, and dust. This makes them suitable for workouts and outdoor activities. However, they are not designed for submersion in water. Ensure the charging port is dry before charging.

Troubleshooting

Common Connectivity Issues

  • Earbuds not connecting to each other: If only one earbud is playing audio, or they are not syncing, a re-pairing cycle is often required.
  • Intermittent disconnections: Ensure your device's Bluetooth is stable and that there are no major obstructions between your device and the earbuds.
  • Case draining battery unexpectedly: If the charging case runs out of power while earbuds are inside, the earbuds may turn on and attempt to connect, potentially draining their battery. Ensure the case is charged.

Re-Pairing Cycle (Factory Reset)

If you experience persistent connectivity issues, performing a factory reset and re-pairing can resolve many problems:

  1. Disconnect Earbuds: On your device, go to Bluetooth settings and "forget" or "unpair" "Indy Evo" from the list of connected devices.
  2. Turn Off Bluetooth: Temporarily disable Bluetooth on your device.
  3. Power Off Earbuds: Place both earbuds back into the charging case.
  4. Reset Each Earbud Individually:
    • Remove one earbud from the case.
    • Press and hold the touch sensor on the earbud until it cycles through its power states (On, Pairing, Off). Release when it powers off.
    • Repeat this process for the other earbud.
  5. Re-Sync Earbuds:
    • Remove both earbuds from the case simultaneously.
    • They should flash blue three times, indicating they are syncing with each other.
    • After syncing, the left earbud will enter pairing mode (indicated by a flashing light).
  6. Reconnect to Device: Re-enable Bluetooth on your device and select "Indy Evo" from the available devices to pair.

Sound Quality Issues

If sound quality is poor or inconsistent, ensure the earbud tips match the size of your ear canals and that the earbuds are worn properly. Experiment with different ear gel sizes for an optimal fit and seal.
