Setup

1. Unpacking

Carefully remove the speaker from its packaging. It is recommended to retain the original packaging for future transport or storage. Handle the speaker by its base to avoid damaging the drivers or cabinet finish.

2. Speaker Placement

Proper speaker placement is crucial for optimal sound quality. Consider the following guidelines:

3. Connections

Connect the speaker to your amplifier or receiver using high-quality speaker cables. Ensure correct polarity: connect the positive (+) terminal on the speaker to the positive (+) terminal on your amplifier, and the negative (-) terminal on the speaker to the negative (-) terminal on your amplifier. Incorrect polarity will result in poor sound quality and reduced bass response.

The Borea BR08 has a nominal impedance of 8 Ohm (minimum 3 Ohm). Ensure your amplifier is compatible with this impedance rating.

Operation

1. Initial Use

Once connected, turn on your amplifier and select the appropriate input. Start with a low volume level and gradually increase it to a comfortable listening level. Verify that sound is coming from both speakers (if using a pair) and that the sound is clear and balanced.

2. Break-in Period

Like many high-fidelity audio components, your Triangle Borea BR08 speakers will benefit from a break-in period. During the first 20-50 hours of use, the speaker drivers will loosen up and reach their optimal performance. You may notice an improvement in bass response, midrange clarity, and overall soundstage as the speakers break in. Play a variety of music at moderate volume levels during this period.

3. Optimal Listening

For the best listening experience, ensure your audio source is of high quality. Experiment with speaker placement and toe-in to fine-tune the sound to your room's acoustics and personal preference. Avoid excessively high volume levels for prolonged periods to prevent potential damage to the speakers or your hearing.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

To clean the speaker cabinet, use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth with mild, non-abrasive cleaner can be used, followed immediately by a dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the finish.

For the speaker drivers, use a soft brush or compressed air to gently remove dust. Do not touch the driver cones directly, as they are delicate and can be easily damaged.

2. Storage

If you need to store the speaker, it is recommended to use the original packaging to protect it from dust, moisture, and physical damage. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
