Cleaning/Replacing Filters
Your ETA 849645132 vacuum cleaner is equipped with a HEPA Filter 12 and other filters. Regular cleaning is crucial for maintaining suction power and air quality.
- Access Filters: After removing the dust container, locate the pre-motor filter(s) and the HEPA filter. The exhaust filter is typically located at the rear of the unit (refer to Figure 4).
- Clean Pre-Motor Filters: Remove the pre-motor filters. Tap them gently over a waste bin to remove loose dust. If washable, rinse under cold running water. Allow to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting. Do not use a brush or abrasive cleaners.
- Clean/Replace HEPA Filter: The HEPA Filter 12 should be checked regularly. Depending on usage, it may need to be cleaned or replaced. Follow manufacturer guidelines for cleaning (some HEPA filters are not washable). If cleaning is permitted, tap gently or rinse as instructed. Replace the HEPA filter annually or if visibly damaged/clogged.
- Clean Exhaust Filter: Access the exhaust filter compartment (refer to Figure 4). Remove the filter and clean it by tapping or rinsing if washable. Ensure it is completely dry before reinserting.
- Reassemble: Once all filters are clean and dry, reinsert them into their respective compartments and reassemble the vacuum cleaner.
