Figure 3: Easy Installation with PoE+ and USB-B

  1. Power Connection (PoE+): Connect the provided Cat 6 Ethernet cable to the PoE+ port on the Stem Table. The other end of the Ethernet cable must be connected to a PoE+ enabled network switch or a PoE+ injector (sold separately). The device requires PoE+ for power.
  2. Data Connection (USB): For direct connection to a computer, connect the provided USB-A to USB-B cable from the Stem Table's USB-B port to an available USB-A port on your computer. This connection facilitates audio data transfer.
  3. Placement: Place the Stem Table on a flat surface in the center of your meeting area for optimal microphone coverage.
  4. System Recognition: Once powered and connected, your computer or conferencing system should automatically recognize the Stem Table as an audio input and output device. Select it as your preferred speaker and microphone in your conferencing software settings.

Important Note:

The Stem Table requires Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) for operation. A standard Ethernet connection without PoE+ will not power the device. If your network infrastructure does not support PoE+, a separate PoE+ injector is required.

4. Operating Instructions

The Stem Table features intuitive controls for managing your audio during conferences.

  • LED Light Ring: The LED light ring provides visual feedback. It indicates the direction from which a speaker's voice is being picked up (beamforming) and the microphone's mute status.

The Stem Table incorporates advanced digital signal processing (DSP) features:

  • Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC): Eliminates echoes for clear two-way communication.
  • Automatic Gain Control (AGC): Adjusts microphone levels automatically to ensure consistent volume for all participants.
  • Noise Cancellation: Reduces background noise to focus on speech.
  • De-reverberation: Minimizes the effect of room acoustics for improved clarity.
