Introduction

Thank you for choosing the EVIDA Digital Voice Recorder. This device is designed for high-quality audio capture in various settings, including lectures, meetings, and personal notes. With its advanced features like noise cancellation, voice-activated recording, and extensive storage, it provides a reliable solution for all your recording needs.

Setup

1. Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the voice recorder. Connect the included USB-C cable to the device's Type-C port and the other end to a USB power adapter or a computer's USB port. The battery indicator on the screen will show charging status. A full charge provides up to 54 hours of continuous recording.

2. Power On/Off

  • To power on: Slide the power switch to the 'ON' position.
  • To power off: Slide the power switch to the 'OFF' position.

3. Initial Settings

Upon first power-on or after a reset, you may need to set the date, time, and language. Navigate through the menu using the directional buttons and confirm selections with the 'M' (Menu) or 'Play/Pause' button.

Operating Instructions

1. Recording Audio

The EVIDA VR01 features upgraded noise-cancelling microphones and a professional recording chip to capture 1536Kbps premium quality sound.

  • Standard Recording: To start recording, slide the dedicated recording switch to the 'REC' position. The screen will indicate that recording has begun. To save the recording, slide the switch back to the 'OFF' position.
  • Voice Activated Recording (VOR): This feature allows the recorder to start recording automatically when sound is detected and pause when silence occurs. You can set the voice decibel sensitivity at 6 different levels (40DB to 70-80DB) to suit your environment. Access VOR settings through the device's menu.

The device offers 128GB of internal memory, capable of storing approximately 9296 hours of recording or 40,000 songs.

2. Playback

To play back recordings, navigate to the 'Recordings Library' or 'Record Files' option in the main menu. Select the desired file using the directional buttons and press the 'Play/Pause' button to begin playback. Use the volume buttons (+/-) to adjust the audio level. The device also supports A-B repeat functionality for specific sections of a recording.

3. File Management

The EVIDA VR01 features a newly developed 4-folder storage system (A/B/C/D) for organized file management. You can move or copy recordings between these folders directly on the device. Connect the device to a computer via the USB-C cable to easily transfer files. The device is compatible with both Mac and Windows operating systems.

4. Password Protection

To protect your recordings, you can set a password for the device. This prevents unauthorized access to your files. Access the password settings in the device's menu to set or change your password.

5. MP3 Player Functionality

In addition to its recording capabilities, the EVIDA VR01 can function as an MP3 player. Transfer your favorite music files to the device's music folder. Connect headphones to the 3.5mm jack to enjoy your audio. The device's compact design makes it portable and convenient for on-the-go use.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your EVIDA Digital Voice Recorder, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Keep the device clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents.
  • Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity.
