4. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps for quick and easy assembly. It is recommended to have at least two people for setup.
4.1 Site Preparation
- Choose a flat, level area in your garden, away from power outlets, trees, and structures.
- Clear the area of any sharp objects, stones, or debris that could damage the pool liner.
- Lay down a ground cloth (not included) for added protection and insulation.
4.2 Frame Assembly
- Unfold the pool liner and spread it out on the prepared ground cloth. Ensure the drain valve is positioned correctly.
- Identify the different frame components (horizontal beams, vertical legs, corner connectors).
- Assemble the top horizontal frame by sliding the beams through the sleeves on the top edge of the liner and connecting them with the corner connectors.
- Insert the vertical support legs into the designated holes on the horizontal frame and through the loops on the pool liner.
- Ensure all connections are secure and the frame is stable.
4.3 Filter Pump Installation
- Position the filter pump on a stable surface near the pool, ensuring it is lower than the pool's water level.
- Connect the hoses from the pool's inlet and outlet valves to the corresponding ports on the filter pump using the provided clamps.
- Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.
- Insert the filter cartridge into the pump housing.
4.4 Filling the Pool
- Begin filling the pool with water. As the water level rises, gently smooth out any wrinkles in the bottom of the liner.
- Fill the pool to the recommended water line, typically indicated on the liner or in the pump manual. Do not overfill.
- Once filled, check for any leaks around the frame or pump connections.
5. Operating the Pool
5.1 Filter Pump Operation
- Plug in the filter pump to a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet is protected by a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI).
- Operate the filter pump for at least 4-6 hours daily to ensure proper water circulation and filtration.
- Refer to the separate filter pump manual for detailed operating instructions and safety precautions.
5.2 Water Chemistry
- Regularly test the pool water for pH and chlorine levels using a pool test kit (not included).
- Maintain pH levels between 7.2 and 7.6.
- Maintain appropriate chlorine levels as recommended by your pool chemical supplier.
- Add chemicals according to manufacturer instructions, always dissolving them in water before adding to the pool to prevent liner damage.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Filter Cartridge Cleaning and Replacement
- Turn off and unplug the filter pump before performing any maintenance.
- Remove the filter cartridge from the pump housing.
- Rinse the cartridge with a garden hose to remove debris.
- Replace the filter cartridge every 2-4 weeks, or more frequently if the pool is heavily used or water appears cloudy.
6.2 Pool Cleaning
- Skim the surface of the pool daily to remove leaves and other floating debris.
- Brush the pool walls and bottom regularly to prevent algae growth.
- Use a pool vacuum (not included) to remove settled debris from the bottom.
6.3 Draining and Storage
- To drain the pool, attach a garden hose to the drain valve and open the valve. Direct the water to a suitable drainage area.
- Once empty, clean the pool liner thoroughly with mild soap and water.
- Allow the liner and frame components to dry completely before disassembling.
- Disassemble the frame in reverse order of assembly.
- Fold the liner neatly and store all components in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Water is cloudy | Insufficient filtration; dirty filter cartridge; improper chemical balance. | Run filter pump longer; clean or replace filter cartridge; test and adjust water chemistry. |
| Water is green (algae) | Low chlorine levels; poor circulation. | Shock treat the pool with chlorine; brush pool walls; ensure pump runs sufficiently. |
| Pump not working | Not plugged in; tripped GFCI; clogged impeller. | Check power connection; reset GFCI; unplug pump and check for debris in impeller. |
| Water leaking from connections | Loose clamps; damaged O-rings. | Tighten clamps; inspect and replace O-rings if damaged. |
| Pool liner has a small hole | Puncture from sharp object. | Use the included repair kit to patch the hole. Ensure the area is clean and dry before applying the patch. |
