Pre-Installation Checklist

- Verify a 6-inch round top exhaust vent is available. Ducting is not included.

Installation Steps
- Prepare the Cabinet: Ensure the wood hood cabinet has the correct cut-out for the range hood insert.
- Mounting: Carefully lift the range hood into the prepared opening. Secure the unit using appropriate screws and mounting hardware provided, ensuring it is level and stable.
- Duct Connection: Connect the 6-inch round top exhaust vent to your existing ductwork. Ensure all connections are sealed to prevent air leaks.

Cleaning Mesh Filters
The Awoco RH-BQ range hood is equipped with 4-layer dishwasher-safe mesh filters (stainless steel for the 1st layer, aluminum for the remaining 3 layers). These filters collect grease and should be cleaned regularly.
- Removal: Locate the built-in latch on each filter. Push the latch to release and carefully pull the filter downwards and out.
- Cleaning:
- Dishwasher: Place the filters in a dishwasher. Use a standard detergent cycle.
- Hand Wash: For hand washing, soak filters in hot water with a degreasing detergent. Use a soft brush to remove stubborn grease. Rinse thoroughly.
- Drying: Allow filters to dry completely before re-installation.
- Re-installation: Align the filters with the slots and push them upwards until the latch clicks into place.
Frequency: Clean filters monthly, or more frequently depending on cooking habits.
Cleaning Exterior Surfaces
