2. Important Safety Instructions
When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:
- Read all instructions before using the vacuum cleaner.
- Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.

4. Setup and Assembly
4.1 Handle Assembly
Ensure the handle is securely locked into the base. If the handle does not lock securely, refer to the troubleshooting section or contact customer support. The on/off switch is conveniently located on the handle.

4.2 Cord Management
The 40-foot power cord can be neatly wrapped around the cord hooks on the back of the vacuum for storage. Ensure the cord is fully unwound before use to prevent overheating.
4.3 Attaching On-Board Tools
The three on-board tools (crevice tool, upholstery nozzle, and dusting brush) can be stored directly on the back of the vacuum for easy access during cleaning. The hose also attaches to the main unit.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off
To turn the vacuum cleaner on or off, press the power switch located on the handle.
5.2 Adjusting for Floor Types
The SEBO Essential G4 features a 12-inch wide powerhead designed for effective cleaning across various floor types. Adjust the height setting using the lever on the powerhead to suit your carpet pile or hard floor surface. The 5.5-inch height profile allows for cleaning under furniture.

5.3 Using the Hose and Attachments
For above-floor cleaning, detach the 8-foot hose and connect the desired on-board tool. The hose provides extended reach for cleaning upholstery, stairs, and tight spaces. Ensure the hose is fully extended for optimal performance, but be mindful of the vacuum's stability when pulling the hose to its maximum length.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Replacing the Dust Bag
The SEBO Essential G4 uses disposable dust bags. To replace the bag, open the bag compartment cover. Remove the full bag and insert a new one, ensuring it is properly seated to maintain suction and filtration efficiency. Close the compartment cover securely.

6.2 Checking and Cleaning the Brushroll
Regularly inspect the brushroll for tangled hair, threads, or debris. To access the brushroll, turn the vacuum off and unplug it. Use the orange lever on the underside of the powerhead to release the brushroll cover. Remove any obstructions to ensure effective cleaning and prevent damage to the motor.

6.3 Filter Maintenance
Refer to the "Bag full or clog" indicator on the vacuum base. If this indicator remains lit after replacing the dust bag, check the filters for blockage and clean or replace them as per the manufacturer's recommendations.
