4. Setup
4.1 Mounting the Device
- Choose a suitable location for installation, ensuring it is at an appropriate height for fingerprint scanning and protected from direct sunlight or moisture.
- Use the provided mounting template (if available) to mark drilling points on the wall.
- Drill holes and insert wall plugs.
- Secure the device to the wall using the provided screws.
4.2 Power Connection
- Connect the power adapter to the device's power input port.
- Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
- The device will power on automatically.
4.3 Network Connection (Optional)
If your model supports network connectivity for data transfer, connect an Ethernet cable from the device's LAN port to your network router or switch. Refer to the software manual for network configuration.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Initial Configuration
Upon first power-on, the device may prompt you to set the date, time, and administrator password. Follow the on-screen instructions.
5.2 Enrolling Users (Fingerprint/Card)
- Access the main menu by pressing the M/OK button and entering the administrator password.
- Navigate to User Management or Enroll User.
- Select Enroll Fingerprint or Enroll Card.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to register the user's fingerprint (typically 3 times for accuracy) or swipe the card.
- Assign a User ID and other relevant information.
- Save the user data.
5.3 Time Attendance (Clock In/Out)
To record attendance, users simply place their registered finger on the scanner or swipe their registered card. The device will confirm the successful clock-in or clock-out.

5.4 Data Download
Attendance data can be downloaded via USB or network connection to the designated management software. Refer to the software manual for detailed instructions on data retrieval and report generation.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe the fingerprint sensor and screen with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Environment: Ensure the device is kept in a clean, dry environment, away from extreme temperatures, humidity, and direct sunlight.
- Software Updates: Periodically check for firmware or software updates from the manufacturer to ensure optimal performance and security.
7. Troubleshooting
