2. Product Components

The AirTouch F20 Frame System (without headgear) consists of the following main components:

3.1 Checking Your Mask Size

Ensure you have the correct cushion size for optimal comfort and seal. The size is typically indicated on the cushion itself.

3.2 Assembling the Mask

  1. Attach the UltraSoft memory foam cushion to the frame.
  2. Connect the quick-release elbow to the mask frame.
  3. If you have existing headgear, attach it to the frame system.

3.3 Wearing the Mask

Place the mask over your nose and mouth, ensuring the cushion forms a comfortable seal. Adjust the headgear straps (if applicable) to secure the mask without overtightening. The design prioritizes comfort and a gentle fit.

4. Operating the Mask

Once assembled and fitted, connect the quick-release elbow to your CPAP machine's air tubing. The mask is designed to provide continuous positive airway pressure for sleep apnea therapy. The UltraSoft memory foam cushion aims to minimize pressure points and enhance overall comfort during use.

The quick-release elbow allows for convenient detachment from the CPAP frame system without needing to remove the entire mask, facilitating temporary interruptions during the night.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper maintenance is crucial for the longevity and hygiene of your AirTouch F20 Frame System. Follow these daily care instructions:

  • Replace at signs of deterioration.
  • If required, wipe the outside of the foam with CPAP wipes or similar alcohol-free wipes.

Keep the mask magnets at a safe distance of at least 6 inches (150 mm) away from implants or medical devices that may be adversely affected by magnetic interference. This warning applies to you or anyone in close physical contact with your mask. The magnets are located in the frame and lower headgear clips, with a magnetic field strength of up to 400mT. When worn, they connect to secure the mask but may inadvertently detach while asleep.

Masks with magnetic components are contraindicated for use by patients where they, or anyone in close physical contact while using the mask, have the following:

  • Active medical implants that interact with magnets (i.e., pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICD), neurostimulators, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) shunts, insulin/infusion pumps).
  • Metallic implants/objects containing ferromagnetic material (i.e., aneurysm clips/flow disruption devices, embolic coils, stents, valves, electrodes, implants to restore hearing or balance with implanted magnets, ocular implants, metallic splinters in the eye).
