4. Setup

Before first use, ensure all packaging materials are removed. Wash the inner pot, steam tray, rice measuring cup, and rice spatula thoroughly with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry completely. Wipe the exterior of the rice cooker with a damp cloth. Ensure the condensation collector is properly installed at the back of the unit.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Cooking Rice

  1. Measure the desired amount of rice using the provided measuring cup. Note: 1 rice measuring cup = 3/4 U.S. Cup (180ml).
  2. Rinse the rice thoroughly until the water runs clear.
  3. Place the rinsed rice into the non-stick inner pot.
  4. Add water to the inner pot according to the water lines marked inside, corresponding to the number of rice cups used. For example, for 2 cups of uncooked white rice, fill water to line 2.
  5. Close the lid securely and plug the cooker into a 120V AC outlet.
  6. Press the 'White Rice' or 'Brown Rice' button depending on your rice type. The cooker will automatically begin the cooking cycle.
  7. Once cooking is complete, the cooker will automatically switch to 'Keep Warm' mode.

5.3 Steaming

To steam food, place the steam tray into the inner pot with water below the tray. Place food on the steam tray. Select the 'Steam' function and set the desired steaming time. You can steam vegetables, fish, or other items while rice cooks below, or independently.
