2. Compatibility

This remote is compatible with specific garage door opener systems. Please verify your existing garage door opener's learn button color and model number before proceeding with programming.

  • Important: This remote does not work with remotes that use dip switches.
  • This remote works only for garage door openers with a RED or ORANGE LEARN BUTTON.
  • Compatible with Sears Craftsman and Liftmaster garage door openers manufactured from June 1997 to August 2005.

3. Setup and Programming

Follow these steps to program your Earthtec HBW1255 remote to your garage door opener. Ensure your garage door is fully closed before beginning the programming process.

  1. Locate the Smart/Learn Button: On your garage door opener motor unit, locate the Smart/Learn button. This button is typically found on the back or side panel of the motor unit.
  2. Activate Learn Mode: Press and immediately release the Smart/Learn button. The Learn LED light on the motor unit will glow steadily for 30 seconds, indicating it is in programming mode.
  3. Program the Remote: Within 30 seconds of activating learn mode, press and hold the desired button on your Earthtec remote control.

4. Operation
