Product Overview

The iProtec Chameleon II Flashlight is a high-powered illumination device featuring four distinct LED lighting modes: 150 Lumen White, 65 Lumen Green, 15 Lumen Red, and 150 Lumen White Strobe. Constructed from durable aircraft-grade aluminum, this flashlight is designed for impact resistance up to 1 meter. It incorporates a 4x zoom function, a hands-free magnetic base, and a steel belt/pocket clip for enhanced portability and utility. Three AAA batteries are included for immediate operation.

Setup

Battery Installation

  1. Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight by turning it counter-clockwise.
  2. Insert three (3) AAA batteries into the battery compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  3. Screw the tail cap back on clockwise until securely tightened.

Note: The flashlight comes with 3 AAA batteries included. Always use fresh batteries for optimal performance.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off and Mode Selection

The power button is located on the tail cap of the flashlight.

  • To Turn On/Off: Press the power button completely until it clicks.
  • To Cycle Modes: With the flashlight on, lightly press the power button (without clicking) to cycle through the four lighting modes:
    • 150 Lumen White LED
    • 65 Lumen Green LED
    • 15 Lumen Red LED
    • 150 Lumen White Strobe

Zoom Function

The iProtec Chameleon II features a 4x adjustable zoom. To adjust the beam focus:

  • Grasp the head of the flashlight and slide it forward or backward to adjust the beam from a wide floodlight to a narrow spotlight.
  • The zoom function is available in all lighting modes.

Magnetic Base and Clip

  • Magnetic Base: The tail cap contains a powerful magnet, allowing the flashlight to be securely attached to metallic surfaces for hands-free operation.
  • Steel Belt/Pocket Clip: Use the integrated steel clip to attach the flashlight to a belt, pocket, or gear for convenient carrying.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the flashlight body with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Care: If the flashlight will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and potential damage to the device.
  • Lubrication: Periodically apply a thin layer of silicone grease to the O-rings and threads to maintain water resistance and smooth operation.
