1. Product Overview

The Electro-Voice Evolve 30M is a portable column loudspeaker system designed for musicians, performers, and small to medium-sized venues. It features an integrated digital mixer, onboard effects, and remote control capabilities via the QuickSmart Mobile application.

2. Setup Instructions

The Evolve 30M system is designed for quick and easy assembly.

2.1 Unpacking and Assembly

1. Carefully remove all components from their packaging.
2. Place the subwoofer on a stable, flat surface.
3. Insert the two-piece pole connector into the top of the subwoofer. Ensure it is securely seated.
4. Align the column array with the top of the pole connector and gently push down until it locks into place.

2.2 Power Connection

1. Connect the provided power cable to the AC inlet on the rear panel of the subwoofer.
2. Plug the other end of the power cable into a suitable power outlet.
3. Ensure the power switch on the rear panel is in the 'OFF' position before connecting to power.

3. Operating Instructions

The Evolve 30M features an integrated 8-channel digital mixer and QuickSmart DSP for comprehensive control over your audio.

3.1 Rear Panel Controls and Connections:

• QuickSmart DSP: Navigate system parameters via the LCD screen with single-knob control.
• Inputs 1-4: Combo XLR/TRS jacks for microphones or line-level instruments.
• Inputs 5/6: Stereo 1/4" TRS or RCA inputs for line-level devices.
• Aux In: 1/8" TRS input for auxiliary devices.

3.2 QuickSmart Mobile Application:

The QuickSmart Mobile application (available on Apple App Store and Google Play) allows remote control of all audio, effects, and mix functions. This provides flexibility in adjusting settings from anywhere in the venue.

4. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Evolve 30M system.

4.1 Cleaning:

• Wipe down the exterior surfaces with a soft, dry cloth.
• Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish.
• Keep grilles free of dust and debris to maintain optimal sound quality.

4.2 Storage and Transport:

• Always disassemble the system and store components in their respective carry cases when not in use or during transport.
• Store the system in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• The array and pole backpack carry case, and a powered subwoofer cover are included for protection.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Evolve 30M, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps.

5.1 No Sound Output:

• Ensure the system is powered on and connected to a working power outlet.
• Check all input cables for secure connections.
• Verify input levels and master volume are appropriately set on the mixer.
• Confirm that input channels are not muted via the QuickSmart DSP or mobile app.

5.2 Distortion or Poor Sound Quality:

• Reduce input gain levels to prevent clipping (indicated by red clip lights on the DSP).
