Setup
1. Installing Batteries
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
- Open the cover by sliding or lifting it according to the markings.
- Insert two 1.5V AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
2. Attaching the Hand Strap
Thread the hand strap through the designated loop on the device to prevent accidental drops during use.
Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
- Press the ON/READ button to power on the device.
- The device will automatically power off after 180 seconds of inactivity. The laser will turn off after 30 seconds of inactivity.
- To manually power off, press and hold the OFF/Return button.
Changing Display Units
The device supports measurement in meters (m), inches (in), and feet (ft).
- Press and hold the U button for 2 seconds to cycle through the available display units.

Setting Reference Point
The measurement reference point can be set to the front or rear of the device. This is crucial for accurate measurements depending on your starting point.

Measurement Modes

- Single Measurement: Press ON/READ once to activate the laser, then press again to take a single measurement.
- Continuous Measurement (Min/Max): This mode allows for tracking minimum and maximum distances as you move the device. Press the mode button until the continuous measurement icon appears.
- Area Measurement: Measure two sides (length and width) to calculate the area.
- Volume Measurement: Measure three sides (length, width, and height) to calculate the volume.
- Pythagorean Measurement (2 or 3 points): Used for indirect measurement of heights or distances where direct measurement is not possible. Follow the on-screen prompts to take the required measurements.

Addition and Subtraction Function
You can add or subtract measurements directly on the device.
- After taking a measurement, press the + button to add the next measurement, or the - button to subtract it.
- Take the next measurement, and the device will automatically perform the calculation.

Reviewing Stored Measurements
The device can store up to 20 measurement records.
- Press the memory button (often indicated by a list or folder icon) to access stored measurements.

Self-Calibration
