6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning the Lens
If images appear blurry or stained, the lens may be dirty. Use a soft lens cleaning brush or cloth to gently clean the lens surface. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
6.2 Storage
When not in use, always place the protective cap on the lens and store the device in its protective pouch. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
7. Troubleshooting
7.1 Blurry or Unstable Images
- Stability: Due to the long focal length and high magnification, the device must be kept absolutely still during observation and recording. Always mount the telescope on a tripod. Handheld operation will result in unstable and blurry images.
- Focus: Ensure the manual focus ring is adjusted correctly for your subject's distance.
- Lens Cleanliness: Check if the lens is dirty. Clean it gently with a lens brush or cloth as described in Section 6.1.
- Capture Method: For photos, use the wired remote control or the self-timer function to minimize camera shake.
7.2 Device Not Powering On
- Battery Charge: Ensure the internal Li-ion battery is sufficiently charged. Connect the device to the power adapter and allow it to charge.
- Power Button: Make sure you are pressing and holding the Power button for a few seconds.
