Introduction

The Denon DJ PRIME GO is a compact, standalone 2-deck smart DJ console designed for ultimate portability and performance. It integrates a 7-inch HD touchscreen, Wi-Fi streaming, and a rechargeable battery, enabling professional DJ sets anywhere without a laptop. Setup

1. Power Connection

Connect the included power adapter to the DC input on the rear panel of the PRIME GO and then to a power outlet. The internal rechargeable battery allows for portable operation without external power for up to 4 hours.

2. Audio Connections

• Master Outputs: Connect your main PA system or speakers to the XLR (balanced) or RCA (unbalanced) Master outputs.
• Booth Outputs: Connect your booth monitor speakers to the 1/4-inch TRS Booth outputs.
• Aux Input: Connect external audio sources (e.g., smartphone, media player) to the RCA Aux input.
• Microphone Inputs: Connect microphones to the two combo XLR/1/4-inch TRS Mic inputs. Adjust gain levels using the dedicated knobs.

3. Media and Network Connections

• USB & SD Card: Insert USB drives into the USB-A ports and SD cards into the SD card slot for media playback.
• Wi-Fi: Connect to a Wi-Fi network via the touchscreen interface to access streaming services.
• LINK Port: Use the Ethernet LINK port to connect to compatible lighting systems for integrated control.

Operating

1. Powering On and Initial Screen

Press and hold the Power button to turn on the PRIME GO. The 7-inch HD touchscreen will display the ENGINE OS interface. Follow on-screen prompts for initial setup, including Wi-Fi connection and Engine DJ profile login.

2. Media Management and Streaming

• Loading Tracks: Use the Browse knob and Load buttons to select and load tracks from connected USB drives, SD cards, or streaming services (TIDAL, SoundCloud Go+, Beatsource, Beatport).
• Wi-Fi Streaming: Access your favorite streaming platforms directly from the PRIME GO's touchscreen.
• Dropbox Integration: Sync your Engine Prime collection to Dropbox and access it remotely, allowing for cloud-based music management.

3. Performance Controls

• Jog Wheels: Utilize the touch-capacitive jog wheels for scratching, nudging, and track searching.
• Faders & EQ: Adjust volume with line faders and crossfader. Shape your sound with the 3-band EQ for each channel.
• Performance Pads: Use the multi-function performance pads for hot cues, loops, rolls, and beat jumps.
• FX Module: Apply assignable effects and use the Sweep FX and Filter knobs for dynamic audio manipulation.

4. Portability and Battery Life

The PRIME GO is designed for maximum portability. Its compact size and integrated rechargeable battery allow you to prepare and perform DJ sets in various locations, including during travel.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the unit. For the touchscreen, use the provided cleaning cloth or a microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Store the unit with a partial charge if not used for extended periods.
• Firmware Updates: Regularly check the Denon DJ website for firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.

Troubleshooting

No Sound Output

• Ensure all audio cables are securely connected to the correct outputs (Master, Booth) and inputs (Aux, Mic).
• Check the Master, Booth, and Channel volume levels.
• Verify that the crossfader is in the correct position for the active deck.
• Confirm that the connected speakers or PA system are powered on and functioning correctly.

Media Not Recognized

• Ensure USB drives and SD cards are formatted to a compatible file system (FAT32, exFAT).
• Verify that the media contains supported audio file formats.
• Try re-inserting the media or using a different USB port/SD card.

Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues

• Check that the Wi-Fi network is active and within range.
• Ensure the correct Wi-Fi password is entered.
• Restart the PRIME GO and your Wi-Fi router.
