Setup and Installation
The Ibergrif Shower Mixer is designed for wall-mounted installation. Follow these steps carefully for a secure and leak-free setup.
Tools Required (Not Included):
- Adjustable wrench
- Drill
- Measuring tape
- Level
- Pencil
- Sealant tape (PTFE tape)
Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Installation Area: Turn off the main water supply. Ensure the existing hot and cold water outlets are clean and ready for connection. The standard hole spacing is 150mm, with an adjustment range of ±10mm using the eccentric S-connectors.
- Install S-Connectors: Apply sealant tape to the threads of the S-connectors. Screw the S-connectors into the wall water outlets. Adjust them until the distance between their centers is 150mm and they are level. Ensure the hot water inlet (left) and cold water inlet (right) are correctly aligned.
- Attach Wall Flanges: Place the decorative wall flanges over the S-connectors, flush against the wall.
- Mount the Mixer: Place the rubber gaskets into the nuts of the shower mixer. Carefully align the mixer with the S-connectors and tighten the nuts using an adjustable wrench. Do not overtighten.
- Install Shower Holder: Choose a suitable height and location on the wall for the shower holder. Mark the drilling points, drill holes, insert wall plugs, and secure the holder with screws.
- Connect Shower Hose and Hand Shower: Connect one end of the 1.5m shower hose to the outlet on the bottom of the mixer and the other end to the hand shower. Ensure gaskets are in place and connections are hand-tight, then slightly tighten with a wrench.
- Test for Leaks: Slowly turn on the main water supply and check all connections for any leaks. If leaks occur, tighten the connections slightly until they stop.
