5. Operation and Usage

• Movement: Move at a normal working pace. The lifeline will extend and retract smoothly. Avoid sudden, jerky movements that could cause the braking system to engage unnecessarily.
• Fall Arrest: If a fall occurs, the device will lock, limiting the fall distance to a maximum of 24 inches (61 cm) when used above the dorsal D-ring, as per Class A requirements.
• Dual Leg Functionality: The dual-leg design allows the user to maintain 100% tie-off by always keeping one leg connected to an anchorage point while transitioning between locations.
• Clearance Requirements: Always ensure adequate fall clearance below the work area to prevent striking a lower level or obstruction in the event of a fall. Consult a qualified person for specific clearance calculations.

6. Inspection and Maintenance
