2. Safety Information

3. Setup and Assembly
3.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage. Retain packaging materials for future storage or transport if needed.
3.2 Wheel and Handle Assembly
- Attach the two 10-inch pneumatic wheels to the axle using the provided hardware. Ensure they are securely fastened.
- Mount the rounded handle to the designated points on the frame. Tighten all bolts firmly.
3.3 Pre-Operation Checks
- Engine Oil: Check the engine oil level using the dipstick. Add recommended engine oil if necessary, ensuring it is at the proper level.
- Fuel: Fill the fuel tank with fresh, unleaded gasoline. Do not overfill.
- Blades: Inspect the cutting blades for sharpness and damage. Replace or sharpen if needed.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Starting the Engine
- Ensure the wood chipper is on a stable, level surface.
- Open the fuel valve.
- Set the choke lever to the 'CHOKE' position (for cold starts).
- Move the throttle lever to the 'FAST' position.
- Pull the recoil starter handle firmly until the engine starts.
- Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke lever to the 'RUN' position as the engine warms up.
4.2 Feeding Material
Only feed organic material such as branches, brushwood, and logs into the input chute. Do not feed metal, rocks, plastic, or other non-organic materials.

- Ensure the discharge chute is clear and directed away from people, animals, and structures.
- Feed material slowly and steadily into the input chute. Do not force material.
- Maintain a safe distance from the opening of the chute. Use a push stick if necessary for smaller pieces.
- The maximum recommended branch diameter is 80 mm (3.15 inches).

4.3 Emergency Stop
In case of an emergency or jam, immediately push the emergency stop lever located at the material inlet. This will quickly halt the machine's operation.
4.4 Shutting Down
- Allow the engine to idle for a few minutes to cool down.
- Move the throttle lever to the 'STOP' or 'OFF' position.
- Close the fuel valve.
- Allow the machine to cool completely before cleaning or storage.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and safe operation of your Wortex wood chipper.
5.1 Cleaning
- After each use, clear any debris from the input and discharge chutes.
- Clean the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth. Do not use high-pressure washers directly on the engine or electrical components.
