2. Setup
2.1 Unpacking and Inspection

2.2 Power Connection
Connect the supplied AC adapter to the DC IN jack on the rear panel of the EK-50L. Plug the AC adapter into a suitable power outlet. The EK-50L can also be powered by AA batteries (not included) for portable use. Ensure the power switch is in the OFF position before connecting or disconnecting power.
2.3 Initial Power On
Press the power button located on the control panel to turn on the keyboard. The display will illuminate, and the system will initialize. Adjust the master volume knob to a low setting before playing.

3.1 Control Panel Overview
The EK-50L features a user-friendly control panel with a bright, clear display. Buttons are illuminated by LEDs to indicate their active status, enhancing visibility and ease of use.

3.2 Sound Selection and Styles
The EK-50L contains 790 realistic sounds and 290 Styles, including pianos, guitars, brass, sax, drums, and more, with a focus on Dance Styles and Sounds. Use the dedicated buttons and rotary encoder to navigate and select sounds and styles.
- Sound Categories: Sounds are organized into categories for quick access.
- Style Selection: Choose from various accompaniment styles to add a full band sound to your performance.
- Split Function: Utilize the Split function to divide the keyboard into two sections, allowing you to play different sounds simultaneously (e.g., bass in the left hand, piano in the right).

3.3 Built-in Speakers
The EK-50L features upgraded 2 x 10W stereo speakers. These speakers are capable of reproducing the instrument's sounds as well as audio from external devices connected to the input jack. Ensure the speaker grilles are not obstructed for optimal sound projection.

3.4 Composing and Recording
The EK-50L offers convenient one-touch recording, allowing you to quickly capture musical ideas. It also includes a powerful and easy-to-use 12-track sequencer for more complex compositions.

- Sequencer: Utilize the 12-track sequencer to build multi-layered songs, adding different instrument parts and arrangements.
- USB Connectivity: Connect the keyboard to a computer via USB for MIDI data transfer and use with music production software (DAW).
4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
