4.2. Installation Steps
- Prepare the Toilet Bowl: Ensure the toilet bowl surface where the seat will be mounted is clean and dry. Remove any old seat and hardware.
- Position the Hinges: Place the hinge bases into the mounting holes on the toilet bowl. The top-fix design allows you to secure them from above.
- Secure the Hinges: Insert the provided screws and washers through the hinge bases and into the mounting holes. Tighten them securely using a screwdriver, ensuring the hinges are firmly in place and aligned correctly.
- Attach the Seat: Align the quick-release pins on the underside of the WC seat with the hinge bases. Press down firmly until you hear a click, indicating the seat is securely locked onto the hinges.
- Test the Seat: Gently lower the seat and lid to verify the soft-close mechanism functions correctly. Check for any wobbling or misalignment. Adjust hinge position if necessary by loosening and re-tightening the screws.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Soft-Close Mechanism
The WC seat is equipped with an integrated soft-close mechanism. To close the seat or lid, simply push it gently downwards. The mechanism will engage, allowing the seat and lid to lower slowly and quietly without slamming, preventing damage and reducing noise.
5.2. Quick-Release Hinges
For thorough cleaning of the toilet bowl and seat, the quick-release hinges allow for easy removal of the seat. Locate the release buttons or levers on the hinge mechanisms (typically at the back of the seat where it connects to the hinges). Press or lift these mechanisms to disengage the seat from the hinges. To reattach, align the seat with the hinges and press down until it clicks into place.
6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and hygiene of your WC seat.
- Regular Cleaning: Clean the WC seat regularly with a mild soap solution and a soft cloth.
- Avoid Harsh Cleaners: Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, strong acids, alkalis, or chlorine-based products, as these can damage the surface finish and hinge components.
- Drying: After cleaning, wipe the seat and hinges dry with a soft, clean cloth to prevent water spots and mineral buildup.
- Hinge Care: Periodically check the hinge screws for tightness and re-tighten if necessary to prevent wobbling.
7. Troubleshooting
- Seat is Loose/Wobbles: Check the hinge mounting screws. Loosen them slightly, adjust the seat for proper alignment, and then re-tighten firmly.
- Soft-Close Not Working Properly: Ensure the hinges are clean and free from debris. If the mechanism slows down significantly or stops working, it may indicate wear. Contact customer support if the issue persists.
- Difficulty Removing/Attaching Seat: Ensure the quick-release buttons/levers are fully engaged or disengaged. Check for any obstructions around the hinge pins.
