4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

The Bosch UniversalPump 18V operates with an 18V POWER FOR ALL battery (sold separately). Ensure the battery is fully charged before use.

1. Align the battery pack with the battery interface on the tool.
2. Slide the battery pack into the tool until it clicks securely into place.
3. To remove, press the battery release button and pull the battery pack out.

4.2 Attaching Adapters

The pump comes with a pre-attached car valve adapter. For other inflation needs, select the appropriate adapter from the integrated storage.

1. For car tires, the pre-attached adapter is ready for use.
2. For bicycle tires (Presta valve), screw the French valve adapter onto the car valve adapter.
3. For sports balls, screw the ball needle onto the car valve adapter.
4. For inflatable items, screw the balloon adapter onto the car valve adapter.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On and Setting Pressure

1. Press the power button to turn on the pump. The illuminated pressure gauge will display the current pressure.
2. Use the Mode/Unit Selection button to cycle through pressure units (e.g., PSI, Bar, kPa).
3. Use the Pressure Adjustment buttons (+/-) to set your desired target pressure.

5.2 Inflation Process

1. Connect the appropriate adapter firmly to the valve of the item you wish to inflate.
2. Ensure the connection is secure to prevent air leakage.
3. Press the power button to start inflation. The pump will automatically stop once the preset target pressure is reached.
4. Monitor the pressure gauge during inflation.
5. Once inflation is complete, quickly disconnect the adapter from the valve to minimize air loss.
