5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your monitor, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning the Screen: Gently wipe the screen with a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn marks, lightly dampen the cloth with water or a specialized screen cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Cleaning the Casing: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the monitor casing.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the monitor's ventilation openings are not blocked to prevent overheating.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the monitor in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your GIGABYTE M32U monitor, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Power:
    • Check if the power cable is securely connected to both the monitor and the power outlet.
    • Verify the power outlet is functional.
  • No Image on Screen:
    • Ensure the video cable (HDMI, DisplayPort, or USB-C) is correctly connected to both the monitor and the computer.
    • Confirm the correct input source is selected in the OSD menu.
    • Check if the computer is powered on and not in sleep mode.
    • Test with a different video cable if available.
  • Flickering or Distorted Image:
    • Check for loose or damaged video cables.
    • Adjust the display resolution and refresh rate in your computer's display settings.
    • Update your graphics card drivers.
  • KVM Not Switching or Peripherals Not Responding:
    • Ensure the USB upstream cable (Type-B to Type-A or Type-C) is properly connected to the computer you wish to control.
    • Verify that the keyboard and mouse are connected to the monitor's USB downstream ports.
    • Some systems may not wake from sleep via KVM-connected peripherals; connect directly to the PC if this occurs.
  • Dead Pixels or Backlight Bleed:
    • While rare, a small number of dead or stuck pixels is common for LCD technology and may not be considered a defect.
    • Backlight bleed is typical for IPS panels, especially visible in dark environments or with dark content.

If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact GIGABYTE customer support.
