Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your YALE YSFB/200/EB1 High Security Compact Motorized Safe. This high-security fingerprint safe offers security and convenience with easy opening using digital fingerprint and the ability to store up to 100 fingerprints. Access is authorized not only via the fingerprint sensor, but also with a PIN or a mechanical key, providing the convenience of three opening credentials. It combines quick access and increased security with a laser-cut door for protection against attacks and a one-minute lockout after 3 incorrect attempts. Safety Information

  • Do not store the emergency key inside the safe. Keep it in a secure, separate location.
  • Ensure the safe is securely mounted to a wall or floor to prevent unauthorized removal.

Setup

1. Battery Installation

Locate the battery compartment, typically inside the safe door. Insert the 4 AA batteries provided, ensuring correct polarity. The safe will emit a beep indicating successful power-up.

2. Initial Code and Fingerprint Setup

Upon first use, you will need to set your master PIN code and register fingerprints. Refer to the detailed instructions in the manual for programming these access methods. The safe can store up to 100 fingerprints.

3. Mounting the Safe

For optimal security, it is highly recommended to secure the safe to a wall or floor using the provided fixings. Choose a discreet and sturdy location. Drill pilot holes according to the safe's mounting points and secure with appropriate screws or bolts.

Operating Instructions

1. Opening the Safe

The safe can be opened using three methods:

  • Fingerprint: Place a registered finger on the fingerprint scanner. The safe will unlock if the fingerprint is recognized.
  • PIN Code: Enter your programmed PIN code on the keypad, then press the confirmation button. The safe will unlock if the code is correct.
  • Emergency Key: In case of battery failure or forgotten codes, insert the emergency key into the hidden keyhole and turn to unlock.

2. Closing the Safe

To close the safe, simply push the door firmly until it latches. The locking mechanism will automatically engage.

3. Storing Items

Place your valuables inside the safe. The interior light provides clear visibility, and internal hooks help keep items organized.

Maintenance

1. Battery Replacement

When the low battery indicator appears on the display, replace all 4 AA batteries immediately. If the batteries are completely depleted, use a 9V battery for emergency power via the external port to open the safe and replace the internal batteries.

2. Cleaning

Clean the safe's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the fingerprint scanner and keypad are free of dust and debris for optimal performance.
