5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.
2. Open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert 2 x AAA batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.

6.1 Power On/Off

• To turn on: Press the Power button (usually marked with a circle and a vertical line). The display will show '0' or '0.00'.

6.2 Unit Conversion

1. Place an empty container on the desired weighing platform.
2. Press the corresponding TARE button (labeled 'TARE 1' for the large platform, 'TARE 2' for the small platform). The display will reset to '0'.
3. Add your first ingredient to the container. The display will show its weight.
4. To add another ingredient, press the TARE button again to reset the display to '0', then add the next ingredient. Repeat as needed.
