1. Overview

The CAHAYA Music Stand (Model CY0194) is a versatile and portable solution for musicians. It features a dual-use design, easily converting between a floor-standing music stand and a desktop stand. Constructed from durable alloy steel, it offers adjustable height and angle for optimal viewing, accommodating various instruments and playing positions. 3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Assembling the Music Stand

1. Unfold the tripod base and secure it by tightening the knob at the center of the legs.
2. Insert the lower pole into the tripod base and tighten the adjustment knob to secure the height.
3. Insert the upper pole into the lower pole and tighten its adjustment knob.
4. Attach the music sheet tray to the top of the upper pole. Ensure the connection is firm and tighten the knob on the back of the tray to set the desired angle.

3.2 Converting to Desktop Stand

The music stand can be easily converted into a desktop stand for use on flat surfaces.

1. Detach the music sheet tray from the main stand pole.
2. Locate the dedicated desktop stand attachment.
3. Insert the desktop stand attachment into the rear slot of the music sheet tray.
4. Tighten the knob on the desktop stand attachment to secure the tray at your preferred angle.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Adjusting Height

The stand's height can be adjusted from 31.4 inches (lowest) to 57 inches (highest) to suit various playing positions, whether seated or standing.

1. Loosen the height adjustment knobs on both the lower and upper poles.
2. Gently slide the poles to the desired height. Ensure not to exceed the 'MAX' mark for safety and stability.
3. Tighten both adjustment knobs firmly to secure the stand at the new height.

4.2 Adjusting Panel Angle

The music sheet tray can be tilted up to 180 degrees for optimal viewing comfort.

1. Loosen the large knob located on the back of the music sheet tray.
2. Adjust the tray to your desired viewing angle.
3. Tighten the knob firmly to lock the tray in place.

4.3 Using Page Holders and Clip

The stand includes spring-loaded page holders at the bottom of the tray and a separate sheet music clip to keep your music open and secure.

• Place your sheet music or book on the tray.
• Gently pull the spring arms upwards and over the bottom edges of your music to hold the pages open.
• Use the included sheet music clip at the top of your music for additional security, especially with thicker books or in windy conditions.

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your CAHAYA Music Stand, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Wipe down the stand with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
• Storage: When not in use, disassemble the stand and store it in the provided carrying bag to protect it from dust and potential damage. Store in a dry place.
• Inspection: Periodically check all knobs and connections to ensure they are tight and secure. Tighten any loose parts as needed.

• Stand feels wobbly: Ensure all height adjustment knobs and the tripod base knob are tightened firmly. The widened 20.5" tripod base is designed for enhanced stability.
• Music sheet tray slips: Make sure the knob on the back of the music sheet tray is securely tightened after adjusting the angle. Avoid excessive weight on the tray beyond the recommended load capacity.
• Difficulty adjusting height/angle: Loosen the respective knobs sufficiently before attempting to adjust. Do not force adjustments. If a knob is excessively tight, gently loosen it.
