Mounting the Radio:

  2. Connect the black wire of the power cable to a negative (-) ground point on your vehicle chassis.

Antenna Connection:

Connect a properly tuned CB antenna (not included) to the antenna connector on the rear of the radio. An SWR meter is built-in to assist with tuning.

Microphone Connection:

Plug the microphone into the front microphone jack on the radio unit.

Operating Instructions

Basic Operation:

  1. Power On/Off: Turn the Volume/Squelch knob clockwise to power on the radio. Turn counter-clockwise until it clicks to power off.
  2. Volume Control: Adjust the Volume/Squelch knob to your desired listening level.
  3. Squelch Control: Rotate the Volume/Squelch knob (inner ring) to eliminate background noise when no signal is present. Adjust until the noise disappears.
  4. Channel Selection: Use the Channel Up/Down buttons or rotary knob to select your desired CB channel (1-40).
  5. Transmit (TX): Press and hold the PTT (Push-To-Talk) button on the microphone to transmit. Release to receive.

Advanced Features:

  • 7 Color LCD Display: Access the menu to customize the backlight color of the LCD display.
  • USB Charging Socket: Plug in your USB-powered devices to the 5V 2.1A USB port for charging.
  • PA Function: Connect an external loudspeaker to the PA jack (usually on the rear) and switch to PA mode to use the radio as a public address system.
  • Talkback: Activate the Talkback feature (if available via a dedicated button or menu) to monitor your own voice through the radio's speaker during transmission.
  • Noise Filters (Hi-Cut/ANL/NB): Engage these filters via dedicated buttons or menu options to reduce various types of interference and improve audio clarity.
  • Scan: Press the Scan button to automatically cycle through active channels. Press again to stop scanning.
  • VOX: Enable VOX mode (Voice Operated Transmit) to transmit by speaking into the microphone without pressing the PTT button. Adjust VOX sensitivity as needed.
  • Weather Channels (WX): Access dedicated weather channels for local weather alerts and forecasts.
