Compatibility: This system is designed for 95% of DC12V compact, sedan, coupes, SUVs, and pick-ups on the market. It is important to note that it is not compatible with vehicles that have a keyhole design as shown in the notice, or certain Buick and Volkswagen models. If your car has an original remote start button, it must be removed to use this system.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Remote Engine Start

To remotely start your engine, use either the dedicated remote key or the mobile application. This feature allows you to pre-condition your vehicle's interior temperature before entry.

5.2. One-Key Push Engine Start

After installation, your vehicle can be started by simply pressing the push start button. Ensure the vehicle is in Park (P) or Neutral (N) and the handbrake is engaged for automatic cars.

5.3. PKE Passive Keyless Entry

The Passive Keyless Entry (PKE) feature automatically locks or unlocks your car doors as you approach or walk away with the remote key or your smartphone (with the app running and connected).

5.4. Mobile Application Control

The GIORDON app provides comprehensive control over your vehicle's remote start system. It allows for remote engine start, locking/unlocking, trunk release, and car locator functions. Ensure location services are enabled for the app to function correctly.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your GIORDON remote starter kit, consider the following maintenance tips:

• Keep the main control unit and remote keys dry and away from extreme temperatures.
• Replace remote key batteries promptly when the low battery indication appears.
• Avoid dropping the remote keys or exposing them to strong impacts.
• Periodically check wiring connections for any signs of wear or looseness (recommended to be done by a professional).

7. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your remote starter kit.

Common Issues and Solutions:

• Cannot use the remote key to start the engine:
  • Automatic Car: Ensure the car gear is in "P" or "N" position and the hand-brake is on. Press the start button for 2 seconds. The LED inside the transmitter will flash slowly. Remote start function is activated after shutting down the engine and locking the car.
  • Manual Car: Step on the foot brake, then long press the third and fourth buttons simultaneously on the remote key for 4 seconds.
• Cannot lock/unlock the car:
  • This often indicates an incorrectly connected brake wire. The brake line is typically yellow. Use a test pencil: it should not light up when touching the wire normally, but should light up when the foot brake is pressed. If it lights up directly, it's the wrong wire.
• Need a bypass for remote starter function?
  • If your car has an immobilizer, you may need a bypass module. This typically involves inserting the metal part of the original key into the igniter, sawing off the key, and binding the chip part (non-metal) with the anti-theft coil. Consult a professional installer for this procedure.
• App shows "Pls scanning again":
  • Ensure location information is enabled for the app. Go to Settings > Application Management > Application Permissions > Find the Crown app > Open location information. Then, relaunch the app.
