3. Setup and Installation

Installation of the GIORDON MP900-2 system requires knowledge of automotive electrical systems. It is highly recommended that installation be performed by a qualified professional to ensure proper functionality and to avoid damage to your vehicle.

3.1 Compatibility

This system is compatible with approximately 95% of DC12V compact cars, sedans, coupes, SUVs, and pick-up trucks on the market. However, it is not compatible with all vehicles. Specifically, it is not suitable for certain Buick and Volkswagen models that have a specific keyhole design, as shown in Figure 3. If your car has an original remote start button, it must be removed and replaced with the system's button.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Remote Engine Start

To remotely start your engine, you can use either the remote key or the smartphone application. This feature is ideal for pre-warming or pre-cooling your vehicle's interior. If the air conditioner was left on when the car was last turned off, it will automatically activate upon remote start.

  • Using Remote Key: The key start engine sensing distance is approximately 50-150 meters. Refer to your remote key's specific button combination for remote start.
  • Using Smartphone App: Open the GIORDON app on your Android or iOS device and select the remote start option.

4.2 Keyless Entry (PKE & App)

The system offers two forms of keyless entry:

  • PKE (Passive Keyless Entry) with Remote Key: The remote key with PKE function allows the doors to unlock automatically when you approach the vehicle.
  • App Keyless Entry: The smartphone app can also unlock the doors when your phone approaches the car within 2-5 meters. This feature replaces the need for a physical key for entry.
