  • Power Connection: This appliance requires a 15A plug. Do not plug it into a standard 5A or 6A socket. Using a 3-pin plug or extension cord as a 5-15A converter is not recommended for prolonged use. Ensure the power source matches the heater's requirements.

  • Humidity Control: During prolonged usage, place a bowl full of water in the room to help maintain humidity levels and prevent the air from becoming excessively dry.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Orient Electric Areva Portable Room Heater, refer to the following common problems and solutions.

  • Heater not turning on: Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a 15A socket. Ensure the mode selector and thermostat knobs are set correctly. Verify that the power outlet is functional.
  • Heater stops working unexpectedly: The overheat protection may have activated. Unplug the heater, allow it to cool down for 10-15 minutes, and then plug it back in. Ensure there are no obstructions to airflow.
  • Insufficient heating: Ensure the heater is set to the 2000W (High Heat) mode for maximum warmth. Check if the room size exceeds the recommended 250 sq ft. Close doors and windows to minimize heat loss.
  • Unusual noise: A slight fan noise is normal. If the noise is excessive or unusual, ensure the heater is on a stable surface and free from obstructions.
