6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your robot vacuum cleaner.
6.1 Emptying the Dust Bin
After each cleaning cycle, or when the dust bin is full, remove it from the robot and empty its contents into a trash can. Tap the dust bin gently to dislodge any trapped debris.
6.2 Cleaning the Filter
The filter should be cleaned regularly, ideally after every 3-5 uses. Remove the filter from the dust bin and gently tap it to remove dust. Do not wash the filter with water unless specified in the product documentation.
6.3 Cleaning the Brushes
Periodically check the main brush and side brushes for tangled hair or debris. Use the cleaning tool provided (if any) or scissors to cut and remove tangled hair. Ensure brushes spin freely after cleaning.
6.4 Cleaning the Water Tank and Mop Pad
After each mopping session, empty any remaining water from the tank and rinse it thoroughly. Remove the mop pad, wash it by hand or machine (following care instructions), and allow it to air dry completely before reattaching or storing.
6.5 Cleaning Sensors and Charging Contacts
Wipe the anti-drop sensors, anti-collision sensors, and charging contacts on both the robot and the charging base with a clean, dry cloth. This prevents dust buildup from affecting navigation and charging.
