2. Setup

2.1 Power Connection

Connect the provided USB Type-C data cable to the Type-C port on the side of the generator. Connect the other end of the cable to a 5V, 0.2A power source (e.g., a computer USB port or a USB wall adapter).

2.2 Output Connection

The RF signal output is available via the SMA Female connector labeled "RFout". Connect your test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope) to this port using an appropriate SMA cable.

2.3 PC Control Setup (Optional)

The generator can be controlled via a PC. To enable this, connect the USB Type-C data cable to your computer. You will need to obtain the specific PC control software from the manufacturer or seller. Once the software is installed and the device is connected, you can manage the generator's functions from your computer.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

To clean the device, gently wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. For the touch screen, use a microfiber cloth specifically designed for electronics. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or excessive moisture, as these can damage the device.

4.2 Storage

Store the RF Signal Generator in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity. Keep it protected from dust and physical impact.

5. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Inaccurate Frequency Output Calibration deviation; inherent device tolerance.
  • Verify settings on the device and connected test equipment.
  • Consider the device's specified accuracy limits.
  • If significant deviation persists, contact Walfront support.
Erratic Touch Screen Response Dust/debris on screen; software glitch; hardware issue.
  • Clean the screen with a microfiber cloth.
  • Restart the device.
  • Ensure fingers are clean and dry when operating.
Signal Strength Drops at Higher Frequencies Normal characteristic for some RF generators; cable loss.
  • This can be a normal operational characteristic.
  • Ensure all cables and connectors are secure and of high quality.
  • Consult specifications for expected output power across the frequency range.
Cannot Find PC Control Software Software not readily available or provided.
  • Contact Walfront customer support or the seller for the official PC control software.
  • Check the product listing or manufacturer's website for download links.
