Setup Instructions

1. Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote controller.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert the required batteries (typically AA, not included) according to the polarity indicators (+/-).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Pairing with Q8 Drone

  1. Ensure the remote controller has fresh batteries installed.
  2. Place the Q8 Drone on a flat, level surface.
  3. Turn on the Q8 Drone. The drone's indicator lights will flash.
  4. Press the Power Button on the remote controller to turn it on. The controller's indicator light will flash.
  5. To pair, push the left joystick (throttle) all the way up, then pull it all the way down.
  6. The drone and controller indicator lights will become solid, indicating successful pairing.

Note: If pairing fails, turn off both the drone and controller, then repeat the steps.

Operating Instructions

Basic Flight Controls

  • Take-off/Landing: After pairing, press the One-Key Take-off/Landing button (often combined with the power button or a dedicated icon) or slowly push the left joystick up to take off. Pull the left joystick down to land.
  • Altitude Control (Left Joystick Up/Down): Push the left joystick up to increase altitude, pull down to decrease altitude.
  • Yaw Control (Left Joystick Left/Right): Push the left joystick left to rotate the drone counter-clockwise, push right to rotate clockwise.
  • Forward/Backward (Right Joystick Up/Down): Push the right joystick up to move the drone forward, pull down to move backward.
  • Left/Right Sideways Flight (Right Joystick Left/Right): Push the right joystick left to move the drone left, push right to move right.

Special Functions

  • Headless Mode: Press the Headless Mode button. In this mode, the drone's orientation is relative to the pilot, regardless of the drone's front direction. Press again to exit.
  • One-Key Return: Press the One-Key Return button. The drone will automatically fly back towards its take-off point. Press any joystick to cancel.
  • 360° Flip: Fly the drone to a height of at least 2 meters. Press the 360° Flip button, then quickly push the right joystick in the desired flip direction (forward, backward, left, or right).
  • Emergency Stop: In an emergency, press the Stop button to immediately cut power to the motors. Use with caution.
  • Camera/Video: Press the Camera button to take a photo or start/stop video recording (functionality depends on drone model).
  • Light Control: Press the Light Control button to turn the drone's LED lights on or off.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the remote controller with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, remove batteries from the controller to prevent leakage. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Battery Care: Replace batteries when the indicator light shows low power or when control becomes erratic. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.

Troubleshooting
