3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Unpacking

• Remove all packing materials from the oven cavity and the accessories.
• Inspect the oven for any damage, such as a misaligned or bent door, damaged door seals and sealing surface, broken or loose door hinges and latches, or dents inside the cavity or on the door. If there is any damage, do not operate the oven and contact LG customer service.
• Place the turntable and turntable ring inside the oven.

3.2 Placement

This is a countertop microwave oven. Ensure there is adequate ventilation space around the unit. Maintain a minimum of 4 inches (10 cm) of space on the top, sides, and rear for proper airflow.

3.3 Power Connection

Plug the microwave oven into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage and frequency match the specifications listed on the product label.

3.4 Setting the Clock

Upon first use or after a power outage, the display will show "0:00". To set the clock, refer to the detailed instructions on the inner control panel or the full user manual for specific button sequences.

4. Operating Instructions

Your LG Smart Inverter Microwave Oven offers various cooking functions for your convenience. The controls are accessible both on the exterior touch panel and the interior panel when the door is open.

4.1 Basic Cooking (Time Cook)

1. Place food in a microwave-safe container inside the oven.
2. Close the oven door securely.
3. Use the external touch bar or the internal controls to set the desired cooking time.
4. Press the START/+30s button to begin cooking. For quick 30-second increments, simply press START/+30s repeatedly.

4.2 Power Level Adjustment

To adjust the cooking power, press the POWER LEVEL button on the internal control panel and select your desired power setting (e.g., P-10 for 100% power, P-5 for 50% power). This is ideal for delicate foods or slow cooking.

4.3 Defrosting

The Smart Inverter technology provides even defrosting. Use the DEFROST button on the internal control panel. You can select from various defrost options (e.g., Meat, Poultry, Fish, Bread) and adjust the weight using the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons.

4.4 Sensor Cook & Reheat

For optimal results, utilize the SENSOR COOK and SENSOR REHEAT functions. These features automatically adjust cooking time and power based on the food's moisture and temperature, ensuring perfectly cooked or reheated meals without guesswork.

4.5 Popcorn Function

Simply place a bag of microwave popcorn in the oven and press the POPCORN button. The oven will automatically determine the optimal cooking time for perfect popcorn.

4.6 Stopping/Clearing Operations

To stop cooking at any time, press the STOP/CLEAR button. Pressing it twice will clear all settings.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

5.1 EasyClean™ Antibacterial Interior

The oven interior features an EasyClean™ Antibacterial coating, making cleaning simple and efficient. To clean, wipe the interior with a damp cloth and mild detergent after each use. For stubborn stains, a mixture of water and baking soda can be used.

5.2 Exterior Cleaning

Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that could scratch the finish.

5.3 Turntable and Ring

The glass turntable and turntable ring can be removed for cleaning. Wash them in warm, soapy water or in the dishwasher. Ensure they are completely dry before placing them back in the oven.
